Are you disappointed with the amount of construction obstructing your shortcut to class? Do the broken clocks make you late to your morning lecture? Make your opinions about the UA campus known to the people who count at today's Presidential Forum, "A Conversation with the President." UA President Peter Likins and Provost George Davis will be available to answer questions and address concerns regarding the UA community. The forum will take place from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Holsclaw Recital Hall. The Hall is located in the fine arts complex, and more information can be obtained by calling Sandra Hallenback at 626-2710.

Learn to get the most out of your late night study sessions at today's Learning Strategies Workshop "Memory Techniques." The instructors will attempt to educate students about the factors affecting memory skills and how to address them. The seminar, beginning at 2:15 p.m. in Bear Down Gym room 201, will also help students learn techniques and methods proven to sharpen memorization. For more information regarding future Learning Strategies Workshops, please call Karen Gutierrez at 621-4548.

The Center for Creative Photography enters the world of archaeology with its presentation of "Anomalous Ancient Astronomy: Excavating a Fictitious Past." The 5:30 p.m. discussion will review the discrepancies in our knowledge of ancient astronomical aspects. Award winning author E.C. Krupp will be on hand to explain slides of key landmarks around the world and their relation to the skies. The program will take place in the main CCP gallery, and further questions can be answered by CCP employees at 621-7968.

Rebellion snags center stage at today's 7:30 p.m. showing of the German film "Bandits" in the Modern Languages Auditorium. This foreign movie follows the extravagant lifestyle of four women on the run. The all-female cast combines humor and action as it illustrates the ups and downs of fame in society. Although the film is in German, English subtitles will be provided. This showing is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Please contact Barbara Kosta at 621-7389.

Whether you are the president of your campus club, or the head lifeguard at the Student Recreation Center, your leadership skills can be improved by today's Arizona Collegiate Institute for Leadership Workshop, "Effective Communication." The workshop features resume-enhancing skills to better prepare you for the job market after graduation. Participants have a choice of six different workshops that are open to both graduate and undergraduate students. Please contact Matt Helm at 626-4905 for workshop locations.
