If you are a poet, and you know it, stop by the 10th Annual Frederica and John Hearst Prizes for Undergraduate Poetry Contest Reception. The Frederica Hearst award recognizes lyrical poetry and the John Hearst award celebrates populist poetry. First-place entries receive $300. The reception will announce and honor the winners. Divorce and separation are a part of life for many people at UA. The Black History Month Film Series continues screenings tonight at 5 in Pima Residence Hall's conference room. On the big screen this evening is "Destiny," a film by 73-year-old Chahine, a major player in the history of Egyptian cinema. The movie is free.
