A set of golf-cart keys was taken from outside a UA building Monday, reports stated.

A dining services employee told officers he parked the cart at 10 a.m. on the north side of the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd. When he returned five minutes later, the keys were missing from the ignition, reports stated.

The employee's personal keys were also on the key ring.


A Tucson man was arrested for having outstanding warrants after police saw him driving near campus Tuesday with expired tags, reports stated.

Officers stopped the 20-year-old Tucson man at North Campbell Avenue and East Lee Street, reports stated.

The man identified himself to police and gave them his driver's license. Police ran a background check and learned that he had two warrants issued for his arrest for failing to appear in court for a domestic violence charge and a criminal trespassing charge, reports stated.

He was arrested and taken to Pima County Jail on suspicion of driving without current registration and having two warrants, reports stated.


A student was the victim of a hit-and-run accident Tuesday near a campus residence hall, reports stated.

The student told police she was in her car outside of the Babcock Inn, 1815 E. Speedway Blvd., when she was hit by a blue Dodge car at 5 p.m. The student's car had visible damage on the rear panel.

Two other students witnessed the event and confirmed the student's report. They said that they recognized the car because it is often parked at the residence hall lot, but that they did not know who the driver was, reports stated.

Both the students who witnessed the accident and the driver gave police a similar description of the suspect driving the other car.

Police told the students to call police if they ever see the car again.


Employees noticed that a university coin machine was broken into Tuesday but say they don't know how much money was taken, reports stated.

The employee told police they realized there was no money in the machine when other employees tried to empty it.

The employee said that machine was last emptied March 3. Police found no signs of forced entry.

There are no suspects or witnesses. The employees will call police when they know the amount stolen.


A $4,951 computer was stolen from the University Medical Center, 1515 N. Campbell Ave., reports stated.

A UMC employee told police that the she locked her second-floor office when she left for the day Monday at 4:30 p.m. When she returned the next morning, the hardware was gone. The thieves left behind a mouse that was attached to the computer, reports stated.

The mouse has been placed into the University of Arizona Police Department as evidence, reports stated.

The employee told police that she and the custodians are the only ones that have keys, but master keys can be checked out from another room on the floor, reports stated.


A student lost her wallet while walking between several campus buildings Tuesday, reports stated.

The wallet contained $45, a driver's license, a bankcard, a Cat Card and a Pima College student ID, reports stated.

Her bankcard was canceled. There are no suspects and no witnesses at this time.


A student's car was broken into while parked at a campus garage Monday, reports stated.

The student told police he parked his car Monday at 11:30 p.m. inside the Administration Garage, 1340 E. Second St. When he returned at 12:17 a.m., the car had been broken into. The steering column, door locks and ignition had been damaged. He also noticed that his $200 stereo was missing, reports stated.
