Three students reported receiving harassing phone calls from a man who asked if she wanted to party and said he could make her "come," reports stated.

On Tuesday at about 9:30 p.m., police spoke with the three students at the Gamma Phi Beta sorority house, 1535 E. First St.

One of the students said an unknown man called and asked if she wanted to party. He added that he could make her "come," reports stated.

The other two students said they had received similar calls shortly afterwards. No threats were made, and they were unable to trace the calls.

The women said they wanted to file the report for reference in case they received future harassing calls.

There are no suspects, reports stated.

Two employees reported Wednesday that they had received harassing phone messages for the past four months, reports stated.

At about 3 p.m., the employees told police they had received about 20 messages since January 15 on the Journal Line to the Editor at the College of Pharmacy, 1703 E. Mabel St.

One of the employees gave police a cassette tape containing the first three messages left on January 15 and 16. She said the first two messages were in Spanish and the third was in English. The employee also said four messages were currently on her voicemail. Two were from last week, and two were several weeks old.

The messages were played over the phone speaker, and police noticed the male caller seemed young. During the messages, the caller repeated "fuck you" and "you're fucking crazy," reports stated.

The caller never threatened anyone and never directed himself toward a specific person.

The employees already tried contacting Center for Computing and Information Technology, but the number was not traceable.

The two employees wanted the messages documented and wanted the University of Arizona Police Department to assist them in putting a stop to the calls. They said they would contact police if they received more harassing messages.

There are no suspects, reports stated.

A woman was cited Tuesday for being a minor operating a vehicle while under the infleuence of alchohol, reports stated.

At about 8 a.m., police were doing traffic enforcement in the area of North Mountain Avenue and East Chauncey Street when they saw a car traveling northbound at about 45 mph. As the car came closer to the patrol vehicle, it abruptly slowed down, causing the nose of the car to dip down a little.

Police stopped the car on East Waverly Street, east of North Mountain Avenue. The 20-year-old woman identified herself and said she knew she had been speeding. Police noticed an odor of alcohol on her breath and her eyes were red and bloodshot. The woman said she had not been drinking, reports stated.

Police had the woman exit her car, and she agreed to perform a field sobriety test.

The woman told police she had drunk a large quantity of liquor the night before with friends. She said there probably was still some liquor in her system, but she did not think she was feeling the effects at all.

Police found a bottle of spiced rum in the backseat of the car that had several signatures and numbers on it. The woman said the signatures were from friends she had been drinking with the night before.

The woman's blood alcohol content was measured at .057, and she was cited and released to her father. The bottle had about a shot of liquor still remaining. Police poured out the remaining contents and later gave the bottle to the woman's father when he came to pick her up, reports stated.

A student reported $1,750 worth of items stolen from his car Tuesday, reports stated.

On Wednesday at about 1 p.m., police spoke with the student, who said he parked his car at 8 p.m. Tuesday at 455 N. Warren Ave. to attend class. He returned to the car at 11:25 p.m. and found his rear passenger side window broken and his car stereo, amplifier, three subwoofers, 60 CDs and cell phone stolen.

The dashboard had also been cracked, and holes had been left where the amplifier had been taken.

The student said he originally had contacted the Tucson Police Department and was told that he would have to wait a week for a response. He decided to drive the car home, and the next morning he reported the case to the UAPD.

Police advised the student to cancel his case with TPD since the incident occurred on the UA campus.

There are no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
