Approximately 35 people refused to leave a parking lot Saturday after they were disqualified from a cricket tournament, police reports stated.

Police spoke with a campus recreational employee and a member of the University of Arizona Cricket Club after five of the six competing teams were disqualified and would not leave the area west of Bear Down Field, 605 N. Vine Ave.

Officers waited at the lot until everyone peacefully left, and said unsatisfied participants should call the tournament sponsor, the UA Cricket Club, reports stated.

A 19-year-old student was cited Sunday morning at a campus residence hall for having a bottle of alcohol in his pocket, reports stated.

Police saw four students walking through the Palm Shadows Apartment Complex, 1815 E. Speedway Blvd., just after midnight.

They saw one man put a bottle of Smirnoff Ice in his right pant pocket, reports stated.

When officers spoke to the man, they noticed he smelled like alcohol and had red, watery eyes. The man said he had been drinking alcohol and was cited and released for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

Police threw out the bottle and its contents.

Police cited two men for underage drinking at a campus residence hall early Sunday morning, reports stated.

Officers spoke with a Palm Shadows employee who said that there were several students drinking alcohol while swimming in the pool.

Officers spoke to the two men in the pool and asked them about the opened beer bottles near the pool area.

Both men said they had been drinking alcohol earlier in the night but said that the beers belonged to other Palm Shadows residents.

The men said they didn't know which residents were responsible for the beer bottles.

Police smelled alcohol on the men and noticed they had bloodshot eyes, reports stated.

Both men declined any medical attention and were cited and released on suspicion of being a minor in possession of alcohol, reports stated.

The beer bottles and their contents were thrown out.

When the men were leaving the area, police saw them gather their belongings: sandals, a pack of cigarettes and two ball caps. Police became suspicious when neither of the men claimed ownership of a bottle of aspirin, which was not near their belongings, reports stated.

Officers opened the bottle and saw that there were three blue Roche-brand pharmaceutical pills along with several aspirins, reports stated.

The aspirin and bottle were thrown out and the blue pills were taken to the University of Arizona Police Department to be destroyed, reports stated.

Police do not know to whom the pills belong.

A UA vehicle was vandalized while parked near a campus building last week, reports stated.

A custodial supervisor told officers the truck was parked on the northeast side of the Life Sciences South building, 1007 E. Lowell St., Thursday at 3:30 p.m.

When the employee returned early the next morning, he noticed the rear right-side bumper had been bent in toward the vehicle's body.

Officers inspected the vehicle and could not find any evidence that the damage was caused by another car.

The employee is unsure how much it will cost to fix the vehicle.

There are no suspects or witnesses.

A student's bike was stolen from a campus building Friday, reports stated.

He told officers he used a combination lock to secure the bike to the racks near the Aerospace and the Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave.

The value of the bike is $100. There are no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
