The Arizona Board of Regents yesterday announced the tuition increase for next year, setting it at 4 percent, or $92, for in-state student and 7.3 percent, or $750, for out-of-state students. The Wildcat asked students how they felt about the increase.

ăI donât like it, but I am from Michigan, and Michigan schools are a lot more expensive. I do think itâs okay to increase tuition the least amount possible to compete with other schools.ä

ăItâs better than 12 percent. But, any increase is problematic for anyone who has to pay their own tuition, like me.ä

ăI think itâs absolutely necessary. The percentage should have been differentiated more evenly between in-state and out-of-state. But, I think funding is more important than saving on tuition.ä

ăI understand when looking at other universities, like in California, the in-state tuition is much higher there than it is here.ä
