A UA student was assaulted by her boyfriend Wednesday on campus, reports stated.

The student was arguing with her boyfriend in the Warren Avenue Tunnel located at North Helen Avenue and East Warren Street. A UA employee approached the boyfriend when he saw him put his hands over the UA student's mouth.

The boyfriend left the scene and the employee accompanied the student to UAPD. The student told officers that her boyfriend wanted to stay in her dorm room and use her computer while she was in class, reports stated.

The argument escalated when the student refused to let him in her room. When the student began to walk away from her boyfriend, he grabbed her and covered her mouth.

The UA student told officers that her boyfriend has pushed her before. The two have been dating for one year and the student does not wish to press charges, reports stated.

Police suggested that the student apply for an order of protection, reports stated.


An American flag was stolen from a campus church Monday, reports stated.

An employee at the Newman Center, 1615 E. Second St., called police after noticing that the flag was missing. He told officers that he put the flag up Sunday and noticed it missing the next day.


A fraternity employee called police after his tool pouch was stolen Wednesday, reports stated.

The employee told officers that he went to his parked car at Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house, 1801 E. First St.

When he returned to his car five minutes later, his canvas tool pouch was gone. The pouch contained an estimated $1,500 to $2,000 worth of tools, reports stated.

The employee told police that he would contact police with a list of tools that were stolen, reports stated.


A UA student called police after her car was broken into in a parking lot on a CatTran shuttle route Wednesday, reports stated.

The student left her car at 9:15 a.m. at a UA parking lot located at 1370 E. Prince Road. When she returned six hours later, she noticed the passenger window had been pried out.

She told police that a $250 CD player, a $15 CD case and $750 worth of CDs were taken, reports stated.

Officers put the window back into the car door and suggested that the student park in a more visible parking spot, reports stated.

The student was told to call UAPD if she remembered any further information. There are no suspects and no witnesses at this time, reports stated.


A UA student called police Wednesday after her car was stolen from a campus parking lot, reports stated.

The student parked her car Sunday at 1071 N. Mountain Ave. When she returned on Wednesday, the car was gone. The student was unsure how much the car was worth or which spot she parked in.

Police searched the lot and found broken glass in a spot the student "may have parked in," reports stated.

Officers answered questions that the student's mother had via the student's cell phone, reports stated.


A UA employee called police Wednesday after he noticed a damaged vehicle in a campus lot, reports stated.

The owner of the car, a UA student, met with police and verified the report. He parked his car Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the lot at 1370 E. Prince Road. He took the campus shuttle to school and when he returned at 3:30 p.m., he noticed his passenger window had been broken.

Employees of the shuttle service deny seeing anything suspicious, reports stated.

The student told police that his $200 stereo was stolen. Police were unable to find any prints on the car and believe that portions of the car may have been wiped down to minimize fingerprints, reports stated.

There are no suspects and no witnesses at this time.


A UA student called police Wednesday after his bike was stolen outside a campus residence hall, reports stated.

The student said he used a U-lock at 11 a.m. to secure his bike outside of Sky View Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St. When the student returned that evening, his lock and bike were gone.

He told officers that he locked his bike through the frame only, reports stated. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
