ILC dedication 'a reason to celebrate'

The ILC - a $20 million underground computer and classroom center for first- and second-year students - will be dedicated today, but the facility will not be the high-tech marvel officials once envisioned.

State-mandated budget cuts, which will slice $13.8 million or more from the University of Arizona's 2002 fiscal year budget, threatened to delay the opening. Hardcore bands rage Rialto stage for charity

Hardcore music is loud and aggressive. Most of the bands that play it and kids who listen to it are considered to act likewise. But a group of people is putting on a show this weekend that should prove that the only thing aggressive about them is dedication to their cause: helping high school kids stay off the street and stay in school.
