Yum, yum, give me some. Did you race out of the house this morning without adding breakfast to your list of things to do? If you need a morning pick-me-up, or simply an early afternoon snack, grab some change and find your way to the UA Mall for the annual Center for English as a Second Language Bake Sale. Purchase homemade goodies provided by University of Arizona international students between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more information, call Helen at 621-6211.

In light of the recent sexual assaults against female UA students, the Women's Resource Center is sponsoring an open forum on rape and related violence today at noon. A small student panel will convene on the UA Mall to address issues such as self-defense, SafeRide promotion and overall campus safety. An open mic session will immediately follow. For more information, call 331-2109.

Start your Monday off with a little clarity - writing clarity, that is. Today's 5 p.m. Weekly Writing Workshop, sponsored by the Writing Skills Improvement Program, will focus on "Clarifying and Organizing the Concluding Paragraph." The workshop will be held in Modern Languages, Room 411. For more information, call Donna Rabuck at 621-5849.

Light up that pumpkin and the eyes of a few special children by participating in the Second Annual CAPLA Pumpkin Carving Contest. Individual and team entries are accepted, and all proceeds, as well as the completed pumpkins, will be donated to the Tucson Ronald McDonald House after judging. The contest begins at 6 p.m. at the Landscape Architecture building courtyard at the south end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway Boulevard east of Park Avenue. For more entry information, call Kristal Jones MacDough at 626-7466.

And the band played on· and on· and on. Get a glimpse of the UA Steel band at tonight's 7 p.m. School of Music and Dance performance at the Tucson Gas Light Theatre. The show begins at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased for $4, $6 and $8, depending on seats. For more information, call Gary Cook at 626-9227.

Scare yourself silly while helping out the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Program at tonight's Annual Haunted Dungeon for Charity at the UA Yuma Residence Hall. Learn about the mysterious disappearances of 1929, just two years after the dorm was built. Tours of the "Haunted Halls" run from 8 to 11 p.m. today through Wednesday night. Cost of admission is $2, paid to the Yuma Hall front desk. For more information call Tom Christie at 695-0387 or Joseph Jaramillo at 695-0385.
