Political science junior gets hyped about Easter, but worries about stolen Cadbury Eggs
WILDCAT: So you still get an Easter basket?
KUCH: I do, well, they send it in the mail, so it's not much of a surprise.
WILDCAT: Well picture this; you're 12 years old, you're sitting there doing ÷ I don't know, painting Easter eggs ÷ then your dad comes out with a big box of Easter stuff and starts filling the baskets in. I was all, "I thought that was the Easter Bunny's job," and he was all, "I am the Easter bunny." How would you feel if that happened to you?
KUCH: At the time, at age 12 it would be pretty disheartening for sure.
WILDCAT: Do you think that's a little old for someone to still believe in the Easter Bunny? I mean to still believe in the Easter Bunny when I was 12?
KUCH: No, that's not bad.
WILDCAT: Did you grow up in a big family?
KUCH: Yeah, I was the youngest. So all my older siblings used to steal all my candy.
WILDCAT: Candy at my house was like food at a homeless camp, you had to hide it the best that you could. I mean one year I had to hide my candy inside my hamper because I knew no one would go there. It was horrid. OK, back to you; do you ever share with your friends?
KUCH: Yeah, it's cool.
WILDCAT: But what if you catch them stealing your Cadbury Egg? Is it kind of a flashback? Do you go back to that defensive state?
KUCH: Well, Cadbury Eggs are tough.
