Finch's famous no. 27 jersey put to rest on Hillenbrand wall

The legendary Jennie Finch, a two-time National Player of the Year and two-time Honda Award Winner, took her place among greatness Saturday night.

The teary-eyed Finch took the microphone in front of a packed house at UA's Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium as she watched the No. 27 uniform she made famous get put to rest in retirement. [Read article]

Wildcat bats surge into postseason

Softball set for another shot at championship

The top-ranked Arizona softball team was picked as the No. 1 NCAA softball seed and will begin its NCAA Region 1 play tomorrow at home.

UA's Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium will host Arizona against Colorado State (35-13), Minnesota (35-18-1) against California State Northridge (26-21), Texas A&M (35-20) against Boston College (33-20) and South Carolina (38-18) against Princeton (23-19-1). [Read article]

Women's tennis ends season against Harvard

UA women's tennis players' chances of capturing a NCAA title fell short in the second round of the 64-school tournament this weekend when Harvard upset the No. 16 ranked Wildcats.

Arizona's season came to a close, spurred on by a slow start that saw the Wildcats fall behind early in Saturday's matchup. Failure to rebound after being swept in the doubles point proved to be the difference as the Crimson upended the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. [Read article]

I have always loved UA hoops. When I was in middle school, my family spent spring break in Phoenix, and I made my mom drive me down to Tucson so I could see the University of Arizona öö specifically McKale Center. I walked in there and fell in love. I knew then I wanted to be a Wildcat.

My mom and I spent a good four hours on the road between Phoenix and Tucson that day, and only two or so hours in the Old Pueblo itself. [Read article]
