Kampus Kuts owner on keeping up with trends and what gets him out of bed in the morning
WILDCAT: How long has Kampus Kuts been here?
LIMON: Oh, we've been here for 12 years.
WILDCAT: It seems that you really get to know your customers very well.
LIMON: Yeah, we're really tight with the kids, you know.
WILDCAT: Do people come in here and gossip to you, tell you their problems?
LIMON: They do, yeah, it's a lot of fun.
WILDCAT: What's the strangest thing someone told you?
LIMON: Oh, I don't want to say.
WILDCAT: Oh, come on, I won't tell anyone.
LIMON: Yeah, no it's a lot of fun.
WILDCAT: Have you had any celebrities come in?
LIMON: Oh, we get professors, everybody, all the customers.
WILDCAT: What do you think of some of the new, strange hairstyles the whippersnappers are coming up with these days?
LIMON: No, we update it, we are always going to school and learning more. We have to keep up with the new styles. We don't want to keep doing the same hairstyles.
WILDCAT: So, have you had any strange requests? You know, people walking in here wanting horns implanted to their heads?
LIMON: Oh yeah, we shave names and logos, "Wildcats," whatever. It's just a lot of fun, I love to cut hair. It's nice when you love to go to work, instead of saying, "Oh. I've got to go to work."
WILDCAT: So, what did you do before you were here?
LIMON: I've been cutting hair for 25 years, so I have a little experience.
WILDCAT: Absolutely.
LIMON: And we read the Wildcat here.
WILDCAT: Wonderful. Well, now you're famous.
