ÎThe biggest game of the year'
Senior quarterback Jason Johnson said it best when asked about the rivalry between Arizona and Arizona State.
He said that all the clichŽs apply.
"It's the biggest game of the year. You can throw out all the records," Johnson said. "We are just going to try and go out with a bang."
The Wildcats (4-7, 1-6 Pacific 10 Conference) will play the Sun Devils (7-5, 4-3) in the 76th edition of the "Duel in the Desert" Friday at 1 p.m. in Arizona Stadium.

Hoops readies for its own in-state rivalry with NAU
If senior forward Rick Anderson saw fear in the eyes of No. 19 Western Kentucky's' players during last week's 39-point blowout at McKale Center, it might be hard for him to articulate what he might see tonight as the Wildcats take on Northern Arizona at 6:30.
To say that Arizona is the favorite is a gross understatement, but the Wildcats are treating it like any other game.
"They are looking to make a name for themselves," sophomore center Channing Frye said. "They are waiting for the chance."

Opponent Analysis: 2 of conference's top QBs face off Friday
Center stage will be under center Friday when UA and ASU stage the latest act in the rivalry between the two teams.
UA's Jason Johnson and ASU's Andrew Walter have been among the Pacific 10 Conference's passing leaders most of the season and own the league's No. 1 and No. 2 single-game passing performances.
Johnson, whose 492-yard explosion against Cal on Nov. 16 is the second-best performance by a quarterback this season in the Pac-10, is third in the conference with an average of 278 yards per game.

Women face another top-10 team
Arizona didn't have a ranking, but nearly had No. 3 Louisiana State's number in last week's heartbreaking 78-71 loss.
Saturday, the Wildcats will try and bring another top-10 team back down to earth as they take on No. 9 Georgia at 4 p.m. in McKale Center.
Once again Arizona will be tested, this time by the sheer size of the UGA front court.
Six of the players on the Bulldog roster are 6-foot-2 or taller.

Glass honored prior to final matches
After 26 grueling matches in an up-and-down season, the Arizona women's volleyball team has one last regular-season test, this time against non-conference foes, but with postseason seeding implications.
The Wildcats will be spending their Thanksgiving holiday in Utah, where they will take on Brigham Young and No. 24 Utah.
Arizona (16-10 overall, 11-7 Pacific 10 Conference) jumped from No. 16 to No. 12 in the recent American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, which puts it in a position to possibly be a No. 3 seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament if it can manage to sweep this weekend's matches.
