Possible masturbation in the library
A student reported that on Nov. 20 a man asked to draw her feet and began to apparently masturbate on the fourth floor of the library, reports stated.
At about 4:20 p.m. police spoke with a student on the phone regarding suspicious activity at the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd.
The student told police at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 20, she was studying on the fourth floor of the library,
when a white male between the ages of 28 and 30 approached her.
The man sat down near her and started reading a newspaper. The man did not have any backpack or books with him. The man told the student he was an art student and asked to sketch her feet. The student ignored the man the first time he asked, but when he asked a second time, she agreed, reports stated.
The student said the man then lay down on the floor and asked her for a sheet of paper. The student said that after a few minutes, she saw the man's pant leg moving up and down. The student then looked over the table and saw the man had a hand in his pants. She then got up and walked away, reports stated.
The student told officers she was not sure which hand the man had down his pants, and was not sure if he was actually masturbating.
She said she decided to report the incident after reading an article in Monday's Arizona Daily Wildcat. There are no witnesses, reports stated.
Drinking in public
A man was arrested for drinking in public and having a felony warrant for his arrest Sunday, after he was drinking a bottle of beer near the parking lot of the University of Arizona Police Department, reports stated.
At about 5 a.m., an officer saw a man walking eastbound from East Martin Avenue in the alley entrance to the UAPD parking lot, 1852 E. Second St. The man was holding a 12-ounce bottle of beer.
Police drove up to the man, who then drank the rest of the beer, reports stated.
Police contacted the man and noticed he appeared intoxicated and had a strong odor of intoxicants on his breath.
The 25-year-old man identified himself, and a records check revealed he had a felony warrant from Maricopa County for two counts of aggravated D.U.I., reports stated.
Police took the man to Pima County Jail where he was booked for drinking in public and having a felony warrant for his arrest, reports stated.
Using drugs under Arizona stadium
A student was cited for possession of marijuana and another was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia Friday, after a community officer caught them smoking marijuana underneath the football stadium, reports stated.
At about 10:45 p.m., a community officer reported two men possibly smoking marijuana underneath the west side of Arizona Stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave. The officer followed the men to the south side of the stadium.
The community officer told police he went by the electrical boxes when he smelled a strong odor of marijuana and saw the two men.
Police later contacted the two men who identified themselves as students. An officer spoke with an 18-year-old student and asked him what they were doing under the stadium. The student said he was smoking a cigarette and that they were just walking.
Police asked the student what was in his pocket and he said, "nothing," reports stated.
An officer asked the student if he could search his pockets and the student reached into his pocket and retrieved a baggie containing 3.1 grams of a green leafy substance and a multi-colored pipe, reports stated.
The student said both of them were smoking, but had just started when the community officer caught them.
Another officer spoke with the other 18-year-old student, who also said he had smoked under the stadium. He said the pipe was not his, but that he did bring it with him to smoke.
Both students were cited. The contraband was placed into UAPD property as evidence, reports stated.
