Men's Hoops: Necessary Toughness
Olson departs from mild-mannered image
Just because Arizona men's basketball fans aren't used to Lute Olson's fiery side, doesn't mean the players haven't seen it once or twice.
The traditionally reserved UA head coach was handed his second technical foul of the season last week. It came during the Wildcats' 100-87 win at Oregon, when Olson argued a foul call on sophomore forward Hassan Adams.

As much as the Arizona women's hoops team has struggled on the road ÷ 6-7 overall and 3-4 in the Pacific 10 Conference ÷ Thursday night's game at Washington State (5-20, 1-15 Pac-10) could be the Wildcats' only sure thing away from McKale Center this season.
But the Wildcats' final regular season game Saturday at Washington should be a tough one, not to mention a big one in terms of the postseason.

Club Sports Notes: Women's rugby earns first win in rout
The UA women's rugby team ended a five-game winless streak Sunday with a 63-0 blowout of Occidental College.
The Tigers could do little to contain senior Kanisha Saunders and junior Tonyella Arphul in the first half. Saunders ran past the defense in seemingly effortless fashion, and played a key role in nearly all of the UA's first-half scoring tries.
Arphul provided a two-pronged attack, running the ball and scoring more than half of her kick tries.
