Stealing from U-Mart ends with unequal punishments

It was reported last week in Police Beat that a student was arrested after stealing a pizza from the U-Mart and booked into Pima County Jail. Why the harsh punishment? Perhaps this individual does not play on the men's basketball team, because if he did nothing would happen to him. I am not saying that this person's actions should go unpunished, but I am asking for fair punishment to all who break the rules. [Read article]

If you've ever really looked at the things that environmental groups spend their time and money on, you've realized they're much less interested in protecting the environment than they are in going after industry. It's blatantly obvious from the lawsuits they file and the bills they oppose that protecting the environment is a secondary concern to taking down those who use land to make a living. Brain decay: Who's calling the shots?

For more than 200 years, the United States has stuck its nose in other countries' business. We've sent off young army recruits into foreign lands, whether we were asked to be there or not.

In many cases, the presence of U.S. troops has only made the situation worse or even more violent. America has long been a meddlesome big brother to the entire world.

Yet, despite the government's enthusiasm for diverting global attention from its own faults and follies, this big brother's help is sometimes necessary. [Read article]
