Police chased three students early Friday morning who were pushing a $1,600 60-inch television toward the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house, 1801 E. First St., reports stated.

An officer followed the men down an ally from the Delta Chi fraternity house, 1701 E. First St., to the "Fiji" house.

Once the students arrived at the Fiji house, the officer yelled, "Stop, police," several times, but the students did not respond.

The officer chased one of the students and knocked him to the ground. The police officer fell on an empty 40-ounce bottle of Budweiser, cutting his left hand, but held the student with his right hand, reports stated.

The student was taken to UAPD headquarters, 1852 E. First St., where he said he had started drinking beer with other Fiji pledge brothers earlier in the night at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St. He then went to another pledge brother's house and drank some more, reports stated.

He said he remembered getting in a car, being taken back to campus and getting arrested by police. He said he didn't know the other two men he was with or anything about a television being taken from Delta Chi.

When asked why the student ran from police, he said he ran because there was a car coming. He said he didn't know it was a police car, and he didn't hear the officer shouting at him, reports stated.

Police found a fake ID on the student, and the student admitted to using it to buy alcohol earlier in the night, reports stated.

The student was arrested for minor in possession, possession of a fictitious license and misrepresentation of age to purchase liquor, reports stated.

Delta Chi did not want to press charges, reports stated.

The student was cited and released.

A bicyclist crashed into the passenger side of a car around 11 a.m. Friday in the parking lot east of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., reports stated.

The car was traveling north in the parking lot when the cyclist hit the passenger-side door and broke off the side mirror, reports stated.

There was a 2-foot scratch on the front door and a 1-foot scratch on the back door, reports stated.

The driver stopped and asked if the cyclist was OK. She said she was OK and rode away, reports stated.

The driver said the cyclist admitted fault, reports stated.

The tires on five golf carts were slashed over the weekend while the carts were parked at the Life Sciences South building, 1007 E. Lowell St., reports stated.

The carts were parked at 4:30 p.m. Friday and were found damaged early Monday morning, reports stated.

One of the carts was parked in an unsecured area of the parking lot. The other four were parked in a fenced area.

One of the bars on the fence was broken. The employee believed it had been like that for a while, reports stated.

Police are unsure whether the tire slashing was connected to another incident involving a golf cart.

At 7:15 a.m. Saturday, a golf cart was found overturned at 1107 E. Lowell St., reports stated.

The cart was found turned on its right side.

Police informed Facilities Management and left the cart in a parking space in the lot, reports stated.

Someone stole a student's Zone 1 parking permit and moved her brown BMW from its original parking spot at the Poetry Center, 1600 E. First St., Thursday, reports stated.

The student parked her car at 8:30 p.m., and when she returned at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, the car was in a different spot, reports stated.

There were muddy footprints on the floor mats and CornNuts on the passenger seat, reports stated.

There were muddy footprints found in the St. Thomas More Catholic Newman Center, 1615 E. Second St., which closed at 10 p.m., but no one saw anybody with muddy shoes enter the building.

The student believed the person got into the car through the small "wing" window on the rear passenger- side door, reports stated.

Police used cotton swabs to remove what looked like spit from the window and placed them into evidence, reports stated.
