UA Facilities Management was warned Monday morning for illegally parking two of its trucks east of the Radiation Control Office, 1640 N. Vine Ave., reports stated.

Police got a call saying UA trucks often park there, causing a traffic hazard.

When police arrived, they saw the two trucks parked in a bike lane.

Police told Facilities Management not to park there unless they were working in the immediate area.

Police also asked Parking and Transportation Services to place "No Parking" signs in the area, reports stated.


A student's tires were slashed early Sunday morning while her 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse was parked at University House Apartments, 1150 E. Eighth St., reports stated.

The student told police she and her friends were going to a party. She said six men approached them and tried to talk to them. The student said she and her friends ignored the men, reports stated.

The men may have grown angry and slashed the student's tires, she said.

When police arrived, they saw the student's front driver-side tire and back passenger-side tire had been slashed.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Police found a stolen yellow Suburban Sunday night after the driver of the stolen car ran out of gas at East Grant Road and North Santa Rita Road, reports stated.

Police stopped after they saw the Suburban blocking the road. Police noticed the Suburban had no license plate but had temporary license papers in the window.

When police ran the papers, they discovered the Suburban had been reported stolen, reports stated.

A male carrying a plastic gas can later approached police. The man told police the Suburban was his friend's car.

The man then said he and his friend had been going to buy beer when the Suburban ran out of gas. The man said he went to get gas while his friend waited with the car.

The man's story kept changing, reports stated.

The man then told police he was going to tell the truth. The man said the Suburban was his friend's and his friend had gotten it by trading his old car with a woman.

The man told police he knew the Suburban had been stolen. He said he lied because he was driving on a suspended license, reports stated.

The man gave his friend's phone number to police. He was cited and released for driving on a suspended license, reports stated.


A $500 Global Positioning System unit was stolen sometime between March 19 and Monday morning from a UA truck while it was parked in the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The driver of the truck told police nothing else was missing from the truck.

Police saw no signs of forced entry. The driver said he could not remember if he had locked the truck.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A yellow powdery substance was found around noon Tuesday on a stairwell in the CŽsar E. Ch‡vez building, 1110 E. North Campus Drive, reports stated.

When police arrived, they noticed the substance appeared to be from a fire extinguisher.

The area was closed off and a sample of the substance was taken for testing, reports stated.


Someone damaged a security fence at Arizona Stadium, 530 N. Vine Ave., sometime before March 19, reports stated.

When police arrived, they saw six bars had been pulled downward on the fence. The bars were bent in such a way that someone could easily climb over it, reports stated.

There were several cases of trespassing in the stadium before the damaged fence was discovered, reports stated.

Someone was notified and asked to repair the fence.


A student's $200 CD player and Norah Jones CD were stolen sometime between March 18 and March 19 while her Jeep Cherokee was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1015 E. Helen St., reports stated.

Police noticed the passenger-side window on the Jeep had been broken and the passenger-side door was left open.

Police contacted the owner, who said no other items were missing from the Jeep.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A $900 Rockhopper bike was stolen sometime between Monday and Tuesday from La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The owner of the bike said he had locked the bike with a U-Lock and had found the cut U-Lock where his bike had been.

The cut U-Lock was placed into evidence, reports stated.
