Police found a small tire in the driveway of a loading dock at the Central Animal Facility, 1127 E. Lowell St., on Wednesday, reports stated.

Police could find not find the tire's owner.

The tire was placed into police property, reports stated.


Someone slashed the rear driver-side tire of a student's car sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday while the car was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1852 E. First St., reports stated.

The student told police she had parked her car around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. When she returned around 2 a.m. the next day, she saw a broken knife blade in her tire.

The student estimated the damage at $180.

Police put the broken blade into evidence, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A man purchased a fake parking pass March 9 in front of the Science and Engineering Library, 744 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The man said he heard two men talking about parking passes and told them he needed one from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The man bought a parking pass from the two men for $1.

Around 10 a.m., a Parking and Transportation Services employee noticed the fake parking pass and booted and ticketed the man's car.

The man told police he did not know the two men who had sold him the fake pass. PTS did not want to press charges against the man, reports stated.

Police warned the man that buying and selling fake parking passes is illegal.


A $65 gray data port was stolen from behind a desk in the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., sometime between March 19 and March 22, reports stated.

A UA employee told police she locked the door before leaving. Police found no signs of forced entry.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A $250 Palm Pilot, 79 DVDs, a $300 Xbox, a $200 Play Station 2 and two video games were stolen Tuesday from two rooms in Manzanita-Mohave Residence Hall, 1000 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived, a student told them he and his roommate left their door unlocked between midnight and 4 a.m. When they returned, they noticed several things missing from their room, including an Xbox and a PlayStation 2. The student told police the student who lived next door also had things stolen.

The student next door told police he left his room around midnight to use the bathroom and left the door unlocked. When he came back about 10 minutes later, he noticed 15 of his DVDs were gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A $3,200 Giant AC1 black mountain bike was stolen Tuesday from outside the Harvill building, 1103 E. Second St., reports stated.

The owner of the bike said he locked his bike with two U-Locks and a cable lock around 8:15 a.m. When he returned 20 minutes later, the bike was gone.

The bike's owner said there had been upgraded racing equipment on the bike.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A professor's wife told police she felt discriminated against while in front of the Architecture building, 1040 N. Olive Road, on March 26, reports stated.

The woman said she and her husband had seen a PTS employee giving them a ticket. The woman then asked the employee how to appeal the ticket.

The employee turned to her husband and said, "You're a professor; you know how to appeal a ticket," reports stated.

The woman said she felt discriminated against. She said she felt the employee thought she didn't know about parking tickets because she wasn't a professor.

Police told the woman to talk to the man's supervisor.

Police also told the woman no crime had been committed, reports stated.


A student's $700 white gold, diamond ring was stolen March 14 from Pima Residence Hall, 1340 E. First St., reports stated.

The student told police she left her room around 3 p.m. When she returned around 11 p.m., the ring was gone. The student said her roommate had also left the room with the door unlocked in that time period.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
