A student was cited for underage drinking after she called for police assistance while having an asthma attack at 2:50 a.m. Thursday in the lobby of Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student told police she had smoked a cigarette and afterwards reached for her asthma inhaler that was in her purse, reports stated.

She then noticed she had left her purse in the taxi she had taken earlier that night and panicked, inducing an asthma attack, reports stated.

Tucson Fire Department arrived and administered oxygen to the student. When they advised her to go to University Medical Center for follow-up treatment, she refused three times, reports stated.

While the officer was checking her contact information, he noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from her mouth. The officer asked where she had been drinking earlier that night. The student said she drank at a bar that didn't check her ID and at a friend's house, reports stated.

She didn't want to report the loss of her purse because she said, "I'm not sure where I was when I got out or what cab company it was," reports stated.

The student was referred to the Dean of Students Office Diversion Program for being a minor in possession of liquor.

Three Tucson High School students were arrested for underage drinking after an unknown man gave them alcohol at 7:45 a.m. Thursday behind Jett's Wildcat Petrol, 501 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The students told police the man had approached them, asked if they wanted some alcohol and poured it into their empty Dunkin' Donuts cups, reports stated.

An employee of the store said the man was a regular and became skeptical when he bought Mike's Hard Cranberry Lemonade, which he doesn't usually buy. The employee followed the man out of the store and saw him walk immediately over to the group of students, reports stated.

Police handcuffed the students and they were referred to Pima County Judicial Court and released to their guardians, reports stated.

The Dunkin' Donuts cups were photographed for evidence and disposed of.

Police found a missing CatCard in one of the Tucson High School student's possession while they were being questioned about minor in possession charges at Jett's Wildcat Petrol, 501 N. Park Ave., at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, reports stated.

The student said he had found the CatCard on the ground in Tyndall garage and didn't know where to turn it in, reports stated.

Dispatch was able to confirm that the CatCard belonged to a student who had reported it lost on Sept. 26 and had since replaced the card, reports stated.

The card was placed into UAPD property.

A student's $1,200 Cannondale bike was stolen Wednesday while it was parked at the Science-Engineering Library, 744 N. Highland Ave., reports stated.

The student locked the bike with a cable lock on the west side of the library at 8 a.m., and when she returned at 4 p.m., the bike and the lock were missing, reports stated.

The student said she would contact UAPD if she found the serial number.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

Someone tried to steal a student's TV and $200 PlayStation around midnight on Feb. 26 from his room in Navajo Pinal-Sierra Residence Hall, 1557 E. Sixth St., while his roommate was asleep, reports stated.

The student was not in the room at the time and the door had been left unlocked while his roommate was asleep. No one else was supposed to be in the room, reports stated.

The student shouted in anger when he saw his TV on the floor, not broken, and his PlayStation broken, reports stated.

Because the room was unlocked, there were no signs of forced entry. The student inspected the property for further damage and stated that nothing was stolen, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A resident assistant at SkyView Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St, reported a fire in the trash dumpster behind the building just after midnight on Feb. 28, reports stated.

A resident of the hall reported the fire to the resident assistant, who extinguished the fire and didn't see anyone around the dumpster at the time, reports stated.

Police inspected the dumpster to make sure that the fire had been extinguished properly, which it had, reports stated.

Police have no suspects.
