Custodian won't give rides in sidewalk scrubber, enjoys trail mix while he works
Wildcat: My name's Nathan and you're On the Spot.
McCalley: Okay.
Wildcat: And you're·Jim.
McCalley: Jim McCalley.
Wildcat: And you get to drive this huge thing around, cleaning up the bricks?
McCalley: Well, basically, all around campus. It's a sidewalk scrubber sweeper.
Wildcat: And you work at night?
McCalley: Um-hmm. Three Ītil one in the morning.
Wildcat: Do you think you can give me a lift?
McCalley: No.
Wildcat: So how long you been driving?
McCalley: We've had this machine about a month and a half.
Wildcat: When you were a kid, did you dream about one day driving a little machine around the UA?
McCalley: No.
Wildcat: Do you have kids?
McCalley: Yes.
Wildcat: I don't. How many kids you got?
McCalley: Three boys.
Wildcat: I bet you they ask for rides.
McCalley: They're all too old.
Wildcat: Oh yeah? How old are they?
McCalley: One's 22, one's 20, and one's 15.
Wildcat: So, what are you eating while you're driving? You seem like you're just cruising, hanging out.
McCalley: I'm just eating trail mix, basically.
Wildcat: Trail mix? That's cool, that's the kind of job you need, you want. A job where you can eat on the job and just cruise in the nice night.
McCalley: Yeah.
