A student was kissed, had her breasts touched against her will and had her DVD player stolen July 5 around 2 a.m. in her apartment at Sun Terrace Apartments, 1150 E. Eighth St., reports stated.

A fire alarm had gone off in the building and when UAPD arrived and determined it was a false alarm a woman came up to an officer crying hysterically.

The student had been at a bar earlier that night with a girlfriend and they had met two men that they brought back to her apartment. The two women fell asleep on the couch and the men went to get beer, reports stated.

The student's friend woke up and left before the men returned. When the men returned they kissed the student on the mouth and she told them, "No," but they continued and began to touch her breasts until the fire alarm went off and they left, reports stated.

The officer asked the woman if she had been sexually assaulted. She said "maybe," and that the men had also stolen her DVD player and she wished to file a report, reports stated.

The UAPD officer waited with the woman and her friend, who had returned, until TPD arrived to file the report. When TPD arrived the women had changed their minds and didn't wish to file a report about the stolen DVD player.

The student told police that if she changed her mind she would re-contact TPD, reports stated.

A man was arrested for displaying a fake license plate after he was pulled over for speeding at East Sixth Street and North Santa Rita Avenue at 10:51 p.m. Sunday, reports stated.

The man was pulled over after the officer clocked him at a speed of 40 mph, and when the officer asked the man for his license and registration, the man told the officer he had left them in his other pants, reports stated.

The officer ran a record check on the man and found that the license expired on June 15 but there was a sticker that showed the car was registered in 2005. The sticker was missing a corner, reports stated.

The man said he had gotten the tag from the MVD but when the officer ran a check on the tag he found it was licensed to a different vehicle registered under a different name, reports stated.

The man was cited and released for displaying a fictitious license and was also cited for speeding, no proof of insurance and registration not in possession.

A student's Kodak Easy Share camera was stolen out of her backpack while she was in the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., on July 1 between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., reports stated.

The student put the camera in its case and in her bag and when she went to retrieve it, the case was there but the camera was not, reports stated.

The student told police that the backpack was in her possession or within eyeshot the whole time.

She said she waited to call police until she checked the lost and found, and had not found it there.

The student has no idea who could have taken it.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student's windshield was broken while her car was parked at the Law Library, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd., on July 2, reports stated.

The student parked her car at 9 a.m. and when she returned at 5:35 p.m. she saw a six-inch crack in the top center of her windshield, reports stated.

The damage was worth about $2000. The student suspects the contractors that were doing construction nearby, reports stated.

Police have no other suspects or witnesses.

A man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer stopped him and a friend while they were walking at 4 a.m. on July 1 at North Park Avenue and East Fourth Street, reports stated.

The officer stopped the men because it was so late and asked them if they were up early or out late. The men responded, "up late," and one said they were just out for a walk. The other man corrected him and said they were "walking around drunk," reports stated.

The officer asked that man how old he was and he said "21;" the other man said he was 19.

The officer then got out of his car and told the men to, "be honest, do you have any knives, guns or drugs," and to place them on the trunk of the car if they did.

The 19-year-old placed a multi-colored glass pipe on the trunk and both men placed small folding knives on the trunk.

The pipe had burnt residue in it that smelled like marijuana.

The officer searched the men and they said they had nothing else on them and that they had filled the bowl before they left.

The officer found nothing on the 21-year-old and cited and released the 19-year-old for possession of paraphernalia.
