A female student was cited with a minor in possession charge after a UAPD bike officer saw her fall over in front of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house, 1449 N. Cherry Ave., on Sept. 13, reports stated.

When the officer came to help, he noticed that her eyes were bloodshot and watery. He could also smell alcohol on her breath.

The officer asked the woman's age, and she responded, "huh · what?" While he was questioning her, the woman swayed back and forth, reports stated.

The student was cited with a minor in possession charge and released at the scene.


Two students were cited with minor in possession charges after a police officer witnessed one urinating on a wall at the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house, 1420 N. Vine Ave., on Sept. 13 reports stated.

When he finished, the officer approached him and his female companion. The male student gave the officer a New Jersey driver's license and said he was 21 years old, reports stated.

The officer continued to question the student, and he eventually admitted that the license was fake.

His female companion admitted to drinking alcohol. Both were cited with minor in possessions and released, reports stated.


A student was kicked out of Arizona Stadium, 525 N. National Championship Dr., after police found five bottles of Jim Beam in his possession on Sept. 13, reports stated.

A witness told the officer that the student was drinking liquor in the "Red Zone" area of the stadium seats. The officer walked over to the student and witnessed him drinking from a 50 ml. bottle of Jim Beam, reports stated.

The officer asked the student if he had any more liquor in his possession and the student took out four more 50 ml. bottles from his pants pockets. The student was kicked out of the stadium and warned not to return, reports stated.


Two UA students were caught smoking marijuana in their car as it was parked on the top level of the Tyndall Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., on Sept. 12, reports stated.

A UAPD bike officer saw a gray Jeep on the top level of the garage with two people in the front seat. As he approached, he saw a flicker of light and a lot of smoke in the car, reports stated. The officer asked the driver to get out of the car. When he did, a large amount of smoke escaped the vehicle. The officer then asked the student if he had any weapons in the car, reports stated.

The student replied that he did not have weapons and said, "I just have marijuana," reports stated.

The officer also found a multi-colored smoking pipe with black residue on the passenger side and a bag of "green leafy substance" which the student said was marijuana, reports stated. Both students were cited with possession of marijuana charges.


A UA employee reported that her 1992 Chevrolet Suburban was stolen from a UA parking lot, 1151 N. Vine Ave., on Sept. 12, reports stated.

The employee parked the car in the lot at 6 a.m. and when she returned at 2:15 p.m. it was gone. Police found no broken glass or evidence of forced entry, reports stated.

The employee said she locked the door after parking it. Police have no suspects or witnesses at this time, reports stated.


Two UA students were pulled over and cited on Sept. 12 when they turned the wrong way down a one-way street.

The driver of the car was cited for driving the wrong way on East Second Street just west of North Martin Avenue. His driver's license was suspended.

When the officer was speaking to the driver, he noticed that his female passenger had watery eyes and slurred speech. The passenger said she had two beers to drink, one of which was under the seat of the driver, reports stated.

The student was given a breathalyzer test and blew a .084. She was cited with a minor in possession charge and an open container violation, reports stated.


Three UA students were cited with minor in possession charges at an off-campus party, 1422 E. Lee St., on Sept. 12, reports stated.

A female student was seen standing outside of the house holding two cups. When officers approached, she put the cups under a nearby car, reports stated.

When the officer asked if she had been drinking, the student said yes, but did not know what was in the cups. She said she thought that there might be alcohol in the cups, reports stated.

The student's roommate was also cited for minor in possession. The officer drove the women back to their residence hall.

The student who was throwing the party was also charged with minor in possession, reports stated.
