Police are looking for the driver of a white Ford pickup truck that evaded police who were trying to stop him for driving with blinking headlights on Monday, reports stated.

A UAPD officer saw the truck driving westbound on East Sixth Street at 7:30 p.m. with its headlights blinking on and off. The officer made a U-turn and turned on his emergency lights and siren, reports stated.

The truck turned northbound on North Park Avenue and made a quick left turn onto East Fourth Street. The truck sped through the Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall parking lot, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

While he was driving, the man looked down into the cab of the truck and appeared to reach for something. The driver then turned onto East Fort Lowell Avenue, driving through two stop signs. The truck drove over a cement block and onto the sidewalk. The officer lost sight of the truck after that, reports stated.

Witnesses then called police after they saw the same truck drive into the construction area on North Tyndall Avenue and East Fifth Street, west of the Park Student Union, 615 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The witnesses saw the driver jump out of the truck and run into the Park Student Union. A Tucson Police Department canine unit was called in but could not find the man. Police impounded the truck and are searching for its owner, reports stated.

A Saturday night date dash at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church St., turned ugly when a male student punched two other students who were dancing with their dates, reports stated.

One of the students flagged down a UAPD officer at midnight as the bus was dropping off the date dash participants at East First Street and North Martin Avenue. The student told the officer that one of the men on the bus had assaulted him and his friend earlier in the evening, reports stated.

The student said he was punched in the ribs as he was dancing with his date. Another student stepped in to restore order and was subsequently punched three times in the face and ribs, reports stated.

The student who was accused of hitting the other two admitted to throwing punches, but denied landing any of them, reports stated.

The student who was punched in the face had a red mark over his left eye, a swollen lip and a cut on the inside of his mouth, reports stated.

The officer called TPD because the incident happened outside UAPD jurisdiction. The students who were assaulted said they would press charges, reports stated.

A student was cited with a minor in possession charge after an officer saw him fall headfirst out of a bus on Friday, reports stated.

The bus was parked at 1509 E. Second St. when a UAPD officer witnessed the student fall. When he made contact with the student, the officer saw that the student had vomit on the front of his shirt and pants, reports stated.

The student admitted that he was 20 years old. He was charged and released, reports stated.

A UA student called police Monday after he learned that his backpack was stolen out of a friend's car, reports stated.

The student said he was at the UA Rincon Track, 501 S. Plumer Ave., and he left his backpack and shoes in his friend's car. There were no signs of forced entry. The student said the car's doors were unlocked and the windows were down, reports stated.

The student's cell phone and residence hall keys were in his backpack. Police have no witnesses or suspects, reports stated.

A student called UAPD Monday after she found her bike missing from a rack at Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student locked her teal Pacifica mountain bike to a rack on the east side of the residence hall at 4 p.m. on Sunday. When she returned at 11 a.m. on Monday, it was gone, reports stated.

The cable lock that was used to secure the bike was also stolen. The student said the bike was brand new. Police have no witnesses or suspects, reports stated.
