A man called police Saturday after he saw two men looking in car windows at 1:50 a.m. in the Yuma Residence Hall parking lot, 1107 E. N. Campus Dr., reports stated.

The man and another witness said one of the men was holding a silver gun. When police arrived, they saw a 1999 Nissan with a shattered driver's side window, reports

stated.

The two men are suspected of being involved in the break-in and are still at large. The owner of the vehicle said he had parked the vehicle earlier that night, reports stated.

Police are searching for the two men matching the witnesses' descriptions, reports stated.


A Pima Community College student was arrested Saturday on a minor in possession charge and a possessing a fictitious license charge after he offered his fake driver's license to an officer, reports stated.

A resident of the Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reported that there was a man drinking a can of Bud Light in the parking lot. When police arrived, they saw a man matching the description standing with a group of people. There was a single empty can of Bud Light on the street behind the man, reports stated.

An officer asked the man if he had been drinking. The man said he had drunk beer earlier in the night, but not in the Arizona-Sonora parking lot. When the officer asked the man whose beer was sitting on the ground, he admitted it was his and that he was 19 years old, reports stated.

The officer asked for his identification and the student said it was in his car. Another officer followed the student to his car, but he could not find the license, reports stated.

The student found his fake driver's license and gave it to the officer.


A UA employee called police Friday after she noticed the license plate of a UA vehicle had been stolen, reports stated.

The employee said she last saw the license plate on her 1995 Nissan Pathfinder on Wednesday at noon while it was parked at the Water Research building, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses , reports stated.


A woman called police after her purse was stolen from the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., on Friday, reports stated.

The woman said she accidentally left her light tan purse on a table and forgot to pick it up. When she returned 30 minutes later, the purse was gone, reports stated.

The student said her cell phone, driver's license and CatCard were inside the purse. Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Two roommates at the La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., were moved to separate residence halls Friday after one said he was willing to use a shotgun on the other to help expedite the cleaning of their room, reports stated.

The student who reported the incident said his roommate had made a previous threat two or three weeks ago because he was concerned that his side of the room was not clean.

The student who was threatened said the roommate told him that "he had a shotgun and was willing to use it on him," reports stated.

The student said he had been threatened in a similar manner the last time the cleanliness of the room was discussed, reports stated.

When the roommate was contacted, he said he was joking on both occasions. After searching the room, police were unable to find the shotgun, reports stated.

The students are no longer residing in the same residence hall.


A resident of the Villa del Puente Residence Hall, 575 N. Highland Ave., called UAPD Friday after her Homer Simpson wallet and cash were stolen from her room, reports stated.

The student said she left her door unlocked at 11 p.m. for a couple hours on Sept. 2 while she was visiting a friend in another room. When she returned at 1 a.m., the wallet was gone, reports stated.

The black wallet had a picture of Homer Simpson on the front. Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A UA Parking and Transportation employee called UAPD on Thursday after he noticed a suspicious object on the third floor of the Second Street Garage, 1340 E. Second St., reports stated.

The object turned out to be an orange microwave oven. After checking the serial number of the oven, police determined that it had not been reported stolen or lost.

The orange microwave oven is being kept at the UAPD station for safekeeping, reports stated.
