A student called police after somebody left an obscene letter on his car Sunday while it was parked in a lot at 1641 E. Enke Road, reports stated.

The letter stated "Next time don't be such a dick by taking up two spots. I failed to see your two-spot parking permit, so when you get a chance you might want to get one, cocksucker," reports stated.

The letter was addressed "Dear asshole," and went on to make references to the writer's gray Mitsubishi Eclipse. The student said there was a gray Eclipse parked a couple spaces away.

The letter writer also suggested that if the student had been driving a Porsche Carrera, he would understand why he parked in two spaces, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Police arrested a girl on DUI charges and two of her passengers on minor in possession charges Sunday after they saw a woman run out of a car and vomit, reports stated.

Police first saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee swerving in and out of a lane while driving on East Speedway Boulevard. The car then turned onto North Olson Street and stopped. A woman jumped out of the backseat, ran to the sidewalk and vomited, reports stated.

Police ordered all of the passengers to get out of the car and sit on the curb. They smelled alcohol on the breath of two of the three passengers. The woman who vomited admitted to drinking at a party earlier in the night, reports stated.

An officer then asked the driver to sit on the curb. When she spoke to the officer, he could smell alcohol on her breath. He ordered her to sit on the curb next to the passengers. When she sat down, she missed the curb and fell on her side, reports stated.

She denied drinking alcohol but then failed the officer's field sobriety tests. She was taken to UAPD headquarters, 1852 E. First St., to take a Breathalyzer test, reports stated.

The girl, a juvenile, recorded a .20 percent on the Breathalyzer test. Police called charged her with DUI and a minor in possession charge. Two of the passengers were also cited for minor in possession charges. The mother of the driver was called to pick her up, reports stated.


An employee from the Gould-Simpson building, 1040 E. Fourth St., called police Monday after a custodial worker found feces smeared on the floor and toilet of a men's restroom, reports stated.

The custodial worker last cleaned the restroom on Oct. 16. When she returned on Monday, she found the feces smeared on the base of the first toilet in the men's restroom and on the floor around it. She also found a broken chair in the third floor lobby with the front legs broken off, reports stated.

Police are unsure whether the two incidents are related. They have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Police arrested two men on open container charges after police found them with two open beers in the front seat of their car Monday, reports stated.

An officer pulled over a Geo Metro after he saw it swerving in and out of a lane while driving on East University Boulevard. When the officer spoke to the driver, he noticed that he had a can of Budweiser next to his foot. He also saw that there was also a can next to the foot of the passenger in the seat next to him. Both beers were half-full and still cold, reports stated.


A management staff member of the La Aldea Residence Hall, 825 E. Fifth St., called police Monday after items were stolen from the study center, reports stated.

The staff member said two $300 wooden chairs, 16 vases worth $1,600 and four $50 chests were stolen sometime between Oct. 16 and Monday, reports stated.

The thieves also took 10 encyclopedias and a large metal bowl. Other decorative items were also stolen, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A construction worker called police Monday after he noticed that a water pump was stolen from the Park Student Union, 601 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

The worker last saw the Armstrong Hydro Static water pump on Oct. 13 while it was stored inside the building. When he went to use it Monday, it was gone, reports stated.

The pump is valued at $1,500. Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student called police Monday after his bicycle was stolen from Sky View Apartments, 1050 E. Eighth St., reports stated.

The student locked his green and black Cannondale M700 with a cable lock to a rack at the complex on Friday. He noticed it was missing on Sunday, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
