photo Volleyball's Kim Glass shattering UA records

After not leading the Arizona volleyball team in kills last week against Oregon for the first time this season, true sophomore outside hitter Kim Glass got to the 30-kill plateau against Oregon State - and nearly did it again at No. 2 Hawaii with 28. Glass' 30 kills came in a match that lasted only three games - the only time a player has done that this season.

The schedule features 16 national appearances, with nine games offered on Fox Sports Net, three on ESPN and ESPN2, and two apiece on CBS and ABC. [Read article]

Staff picks - weekend football matchups

Arizona vs. California

So. California vs. Washington State

Michigan vs. Purdue

Auburn vs. Louisiana State

Arizona vs. California

Can lightning strike twice? Can the Wildcats soothe their souls with a win at Cal for the second straight year? They could. And they can. But they won't. Don't forget, the Golden Bears handed the 5th-ranked Trojans their first and only loss of the season to date. Arizona's running game will be successful for the second game in a row, and Heavner will continue to improve. But the Berkeley hippies take this one. [Read article]
