Athlete of the week: Aronchick shuts down ASU
Masked man saves day again
Facing what Icecats' head coach Leo Golembiewski thought was a very underrated ASU team in their opening series, junior goalie Bryan Aronchick withstood the Sun Devil gauntlet, yielding only four goals in two games for No. 10 Arizona (1-0-1). Before the first game against No. 18 ASU (5-3-1), Aronchick was battling food poisoning, but he played through it and had 83 saves over the two games.

Fall ball brings roster changes
If you think the baseball season ended with the World Series, you might want to head over to Sancet Field sometime before Saturday.

Farmer's exit gives Bell bulk of UA carries
With thoughts of the departure of senior tailback Clarence Farmer still fresh at practice on Wednesday, the person left most in the dust was his heir apparent, Mike Bell.
After coming off the best game of his career, the redshirt sophomore from Phoenix knows that the workload will rest mainly on his shoulders for the conclusion of Arizona's tumultuous season.
"I have to focus (now)," Bell said. "I've got to remember that this is just going to be me and (redshirt sophomore tailback) Gainus (Scott), so I know I'll be taking most of the load, so I'll have to stay in the game and keep my composure and just stay calm."
