A student called police Friday after he found his bike stolen from a rack on the UA Mall, reports stated.

The student locked his gray and white Kona mountain bike to a rack near the Student Union Memorial Center, 1301 E. University Blvd., at 8 a.m. When he returned at 3 p.m., the bike and cable lock were gone.

The bike is worth an estimated $900.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student called police after his bag was stolen Friday from the Cactus Grill, 1303 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student was eating lunch at 3 p.m. and accidentally left the bag under the table when he went to class. He returned 30 minutes later to find the bag missing. Employees of the Cactus Grill could not find it.

The contents of the bag included a black leather wallet with his driver's license and bankcards inside.

When the student called the bank to cancel the card, he was told that somebody had tried to make a $100 withdrawal at an unspecified location, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student found another person's license plate on his car Friday after it was parked in a lot at 1334 E. Helen St., reports stated.

The student drove his Honda Accord home at 3:15 p.m. When he got home, he noticed that the license plate was different and called police.

After running the plate through the Motor Vehicle Division database, the plate was found to belong to a man in Bisbee. It had not been reported stolen, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

An employee called police Friday after he noticed a shattered window at the Electrical and Computer Engineering building, 1230 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.

The 3-foot by 10-foot window had been shattered. The employee had left a message with police and was unreachable when police tried to call him.

The window was immediately boarded up.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student called police Thursday after he found his bike stolen from a fenced bike compound at Babcock Residence Hall, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.

The student locked his black Specialized mountain bike in the compound at 10 p.m. on Wednesday. When he returned to get his bike on Friday at 2 p.m., he found the lock on the compound cut and his bike missing.

Police contacted the hall director and asked to have the lock fixed.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student employee of the UA Medical Library, 1601 N. Campbell Ave., called police Thursday after items were stolen from her book bag, reports stated.

The student went to work at 11 p.m. and put the bag behind the desk she was working at. When she got home at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, she noticed that a textbook, a cell phone and her purse were missing.

Other employees could not find the items.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student found his car broken into Thursday after it was parked at the UA Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

The student parked his BMW 325i at 9 p.m. and exercised until 10:50 p.m. When he went out to the car, he found the front driver-side window smashed in.

The student's cell phone was stolen, along with a wallet and the $300 inside.

Police were unable to find any fingerprints and have no suspects or witnesses.

A man called police Thursday after somebody stole his toolbox out of his car, reports stated.

The man had parked his Honda UXI at 8:30 p.m. at the UA College of Law, 1201 E. Speedway Blvd. When he returned at 11 p.m., he noticed that the toolbox was missing.

The man told police that he was almost certain that he had locked the door. Police found scratches around the driver-side door lock, reports stated.

After further inspection, the man found that three quarts of motor oil inside the trunk of the car were also stolen. The man said he saw another man standing in front of the building after he parked, but thought nothing of it.

He gave police the description of the man, but they were unable to find him, reports stated.
