A moneybox was stolen from a Pepsi vending machine at the BioSciences West building, 1401 E. Lowell St., Wednesday night, reports stated.

Someone had pried open the dollar bill collector to get the money. The rest of the machine was intact, reports stated.

Pepsi was notified and said it would send a technician, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Police discovered a man was using someone else's registration tags after he was pulled over for speeding on Jan. 13 at the corner of South Kino Parkway and East 22nd Street.

When police ran the registration on the vehicle, they saw that it had expired in September 2002, even though there was a 2004 registration tag on the vehicle's license plate, reports stated.

Police asked the man where he got the 2004 tag. The man said, "A friend gave it to me," reports stated.

Police were unable to find the owner of the 2004 registration tag.

The man was arrested for displaying fictitious registration tags and was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance, reports stated.

The man was released and the license plate was removed as evidence, reports stated.


A student's Zone 1 parking permit was stolen from his car while he was parked in front of Pima Residence Hall, 1305 E. First St., Wednesday night, reports stated.

The student said he attended a short meeting in Pima Residence Hall while unloading his car.

When he returned to his car, his parking permit was gone, reports stated.

The window in his car had been down and there was no damage to the car, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's Zone 1 parking permit was stolen from his 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee while it was parked by McClelland Hall, 1130 E. Helen St., reports stated.

The student said that it had been stolen Nov. 29 between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The student didn't report the stolen permit until Wednesday, reports stated.

There was no damage to the car, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A doorframe on the east side of the Communication Health Sciences building, 1522 E. Drachman St., was damaged over winter break, reports stated.

A UA employee called police to tell them that a piece about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide had been chipped off the doorframe, reports stated.

There was no other noticeable damage, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student reported his CatCard stolen from the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., on Jan. 13, reports stated.

The student said that the CatCard had been stolen between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A UA employee reported that a $750 furnace and furnace condenser were stolen from the Harvill building, 1103 E. Second St., over winter break, reports stated.

The employee said that the furnace and furnace condenser had been stored in Room 127 and that the room had been locked, reports stated.

The worker said all employees had a key, reports stated.

The two units were part of a set and did not work with other units, reports stated.

There were no signs of forced entry, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
