A student fell and injured her pinky Jan. 16 after exiting an elevator at the Main Library, 1501 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The student reported that after getting off the elevator on the first floor, she slipped and fell. She cut her left pinky finger and bruised her right knee.

She said she didn't know what caused her fall. A woman working at the front desk helped her up, and no medical personnel were called, reports stated.

The student said that while driving home, she couldn't stop bleeding and went to Tucson Medical Center, where she received seven stitches in her pinky, reports stated.

A student called police after he found a gun in his roommate's drawer late Tuesday night at Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The student found the gun in his roommate's open drawer and, after picking it up and discovering it was heavy, decided to call the police.

When officers arrived, the owner of the gun had returned and gave them permission to search the room, reports stated.

When asked if he had a gun, the owner said, "Yes I do, officer, but it's just a pellet gun, not a real gun," reports stated.

Police confiscated the black plastic BB gun, some plastic BB's and a plastic target.

When asked why he had the gun, the owner said, " It was just part of my Halloween costume. I was a gangster/mobster," reports stated.

The owner of the pellet gun was not charged with any crime, but a code of conduct violation was forwarded to the Dean of Students, reports stated.

Two students were found smoking marijuana at Cochise Residence Hall, 1018 E. South Campus Drive, late Wednesday night, reports stated.

When police arrived, they smelled burnt marijuana. The two students said that it wasn't their room, but that their friends lived in the room and knew the two students were smoking.

Both students had red, bloodshot, watery and dilated eyes. One student was asked to stick out his tongue. There was a green tint to the tongue and raised taste buds, reports stated.

The students admitted to smoking from a glass bong. One of the students said that he was already going through the UA diversion program for possession of marijuana, reports stated.

The bong and a small bag containing a green leafy substance were confiscated.

The two students were cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, reports stated.

A $250 Kodak digital camera was stolen from a student's room in Mohave Residence Hall, 1000 N. Park Ave., Jan. 19, reports stated.

The owner of the camera said that she left around 5 p.m. to go to the mall, and when she returned around 11 p.m., the camera was gone.

The owner's roommate had two friends in the room during that time, but no one knew anything about the camera, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student's front turn signal lights were stolen Jan. 16 from his blue Honda Accord parked at 425 N. Fremont Ave., reports stated.

The lights were stolen while the student was in school, but he didn't notice that they were gone until he returned home.

The lights had been carefully removed and unplugged, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

Two high school students' lockers were broken into in the women's locker room at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center, 1824 E. Enke Drive, while they were swimming Tuesday night, reports stated.

The students were members of a swim team and had left their lockers unlocked while swimming.

When they came back, they discovered that two pairs of pants, a shirt, sunglasses and a wallet containing a Visa card had been taken, reports stated.

The students told police that it was not the first time items had been stolen from the locker room.

Police searched the locker room and discovered that many of the students had left their lockers unlocked and open, reports stated. The students were all advised to lock up their items.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
