The Arizona women's soccer team earned six National Letters of Intent yesterday, Arizona head coach Dan Tobias said in a press release on arizonaathletics.com.
In his second recruiting class at Arizona, Tobias signed defender Brianna Caceres of Canyon Country, Calif., forward Gianna DeSaverio of Littleton, Colo., midfielder Christina Hughes of Phoenix, forward London King of Santa Monica, Calif., defender Savanah Levake of Phoenix, and defender Erika Olson of Greenwood Village, Colo.
"We are extremely excited about these six student-athletes becoming a part of the U of A family," Tobias said in the press release. "They will most definitely help us continue to build on our program's new tradition of success."
The Wildcats went 15-6 last season with six freshman starters, winning their first Pacific 10 Conference Championship and posting the best record in school history.
Arizona, which set or tied 31 school records in 2004, earned a berth in its first-ever NCAA Tournament in November, but lost to Colgate in the first round.
For his efforts, Tobias was named Soccer America's National Coach of the Year and the Pacific 10 Conference Coach of the Year.
