An employee called police to report an uncooperative student Tuesday who refused to show identification at Pima Residence Hall, 1340 E. First St., reports stated.

The student asked the employee at 5:30 p.m. for permission to put a plastic pool in the hall's courtyard, but the pool did not belong to the student, reports stated.

The employee told the student he would need Residence Life's approval and offered to schedule an appointment, reports stated.

The student said "shit" and left, reports stated.

The employee asked the student to come back so she could talk to Residence Life about the pool and asked for the student's CatCard, reports stated.

The student refused and said, "Fuck, shit, I'm tired of this," reports stated.

Police arrived at the hall and the student admitted to swearing and apologized to the employee, reports stated.

The employee scheduled a meeting for Residence Life and the student to meet, reports stated.

The employee said she wanted the incident to be documented.


An employee found a possibly used condom on the doorknob of her room Tuesday in Pima, 1340 E. First St., reports stated.

The employee told police she went to class at 7 p.m. and found the condom when she returned at 11 p.m., reports stated.

The employee told police she dealt with an uncooperative student earlier that day and suspected he could have been the person who put the condom on the doorknob, reports stated.

The employee said her vehicle had been tampered with earlier this semester, reports stated.

Police have no other suspects or witnesses.


A student's car, which he purchased that day, was stolen Tuesday from a Zone 1 lot, 520 N. Euclid Ave., reports stated.

The student bought the car earlier in the day from his roommate's mother and parked it next to his girlfriend's car at 5:30 p.m., reports stated.

The student went to the Motor Vehicle Department and when he returned two hours later, the car was gone, reports stated.

The student spoke with his roommate and his mother, and neither of them took the car, reports stated.

The title was inside the car.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


An employee received a threatening telephone call from an upset basketball fan Tuesday, reports stated.

The caller contacted the employee in McKale Center, 1721 E. Fifth St., and was upset about something he told a newspaper, reports stated.

The caller first spoke to the employee's assistant, who did not know if the call was positive or negative, reports stated.

The employee got on the phone and the caller identified himself, reports stated.

The caller was upset about the employee's quote that stated, "The best team is going to the Final Four."

The caller told the employee, "That's bad sportsmanship. How could you say that? That's not right," reports stated.

The caller identified himself to the employee again, reports stated.

The caller added, "I didn't think you'd agree with what I said to you. I want you to know that name. You're going to hear from me again," reports stated.

The employee told police he felt threatened by the last statement, reports stated.

The employee told police someone had broken into his car when it was parked at his home and stole several compact discs, reports stated

The employee was not sure if the incidents were related or if it was a coincidence, reports stated.


Someone stole eight books from an employee's desk sometime between March 28 and Tuesday, reports stated.

The employee last saw the books on his desk in his office in the Modern Languages building, 1423 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

The employee shares the office with a few teaching assistants, but none of them knew about the missing books, reports stated.

The books belonged to the UA Main Library and the employee gave police a call number for each of them, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Someone damaged a UA vehicle parked outside of Babcock Residence Hall, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.

A radiation control employee parked the vehicle March 25 and returned March 28 and found a dark, brown, thick liquid had been poured or spilled on it, reports stated.

The thick liquid seemed like barbecue sauce, reports stated.

Police said a UA vehicle had been damaged before in the same location with the brown sauce, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
