After the second round in the Pacific 10 Championship, the Arizona women's golf team is tied for third place, 10 shots behind defending Pac-10 Champion UCLA.

The squad shot a 1-over-par 289 for two-day total of 589 (+13), which knots the Wildcats with rival ASU. The Bruins shot 290 in the second round (+2) for a two-round total of 579.

Junior Cassandra Kirkland tied her career-best round with a 5-under 67 in the second round. Kirkland is tied for second place with UCLA's Susie Mathews.

Senior Mar Garcia recorded a season-low round of 70 yesterday, good for a three-way tie for fifth place. Junior Lani Elston shot a 4-over 76 to improve to a tie for 27th while senior Miriam Kraschinski is tied for 39th after shooting an 80 (+8) in the second round.

The tournament final round begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. at Ruby Hill Golf Club in Pleasanton, Calif.
