Athlete of the Week: Softball pitcher hits career high
Junior pitcher Leslie Wolfe has thrived this season as the No. 2 Arizona softball team’s third starter. After making her last appearance March 3 against No. 3 California, Wolfe allowed only three hits in five innings of relief in Saturday’s 10-3 win over ASU and struck out 10, matching a career high. Wolfe is 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA in five appearances and leads the pitching staff with a .91 ERA in Pacific 10 Conference play.

Commentary: 370 days later
Many people wandered around campus last Friday oblivious to the fact that it was one year to the day that Pat Tillman gave his life in service of his country. Now, 370 days after the former Sun Devil and Arizona Cardinal was killed in Afghanistan, his story is worth telling again.
This is not a glorification of Pat Tillman, nor am I putting him above others who have given their life in the same service. Instead, I’m writing this so that his story is not forgotten, because five days ago, unless you happened to turn the TV to ESPN at 9 a.m., or drove to Phoenix to pick up an Arizona Republic, the one-year anniversary of his death passed quietly.

Track relaxed as they approach ASU meet
The mood at practice for the Arizona track and field teams was very light Monday following their weekend off.
"The weekend off was really good for a lot of people," Arizona head coach Fred Harvey said. "The rejuvenation over the weekend really helped their psyche in terms of getting ready for this upcoming week."
It's a good thing everyone was in a playful mood, as Harvey turned a few heads when he came to practice sporting an ASU shirt.

USA vs. Europe – Who has the best sports?
LONDON - Before my final decision to study abroad this semester in London, I had a few concerns in my head.
What would I do without Mexican food, ranch dressing, and the cherry on top, my beloved ESPN and its creation, "SportsCenter"?
I knew that without the food and the condiment, I could make due with black curry and watery Caesar for a few months, but I have never been without the best sports creation in my entire life for longer than it takes to pound a few in Cabo San Lucas during spring break.
