A woman drove her wheelchair off a curb and fell onto East Speedway Boulevard at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, reports stated.

Police saw the woman after noticing traffic was backed up on Speedway. They found the woman on the right side of her wheelchair in the bike lane on Speedway between North Euclid Avenue and North Tyndall Avenue, reports stated.

The woman told police she was traveling west and her wheelchair went off the curb and she was stuck in her chair, reports stated.

The woman complained of arm and hip pain, but when Tucson Fire Department evaluated her she refused treatment or transportation, reports stated.

An unknown woman from Direct, 1023 N. Tyndall Ave., escorted the woman back to Direct for transportation, reports stated.

Police do not know what caused the woman to drive her wheelchair off the curb, reports stated.

A student's $200 stereo was stolen out of his car while parked at 425 N. Fremont Ave. sometime Tuesday evening, reports stated.

The student said he parked his car at 3:30 p.m., and when he returned at 9:15 p.m. he found his front passenger window had been smashed in and his stereo was missing, reports stated.

Police evaluated the damage to the window and dash board, which had been pried apart to remove the stereo, reports stated. There was a screwdriver on the floor of the car and the student said it did not belong to him, reports stated.

Police placed the screwdriver in an envelope and sent it to the Department of Public Safety for examination, reports stated.

Police have no witnesses, suspects or other leads.

An employee reported that an unknown person had defecated on the toilet seat in the women's restroom in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. student center, 1322 E. First St., sometime between April 22 and 25, reports stated.

The employee said she saw the mess and said it concerned her because six weeks ago two "young kids" had urinated on the floor of the same second floor stall, reports stated.

The employee said she was also concerned because the front door to the building does not close well, reports stated.

She told police she had already contacted custodial to clean up the bathroom and police suggested she contact Facilities Management about the door to the building, reports stated.

The damage to the bathroom consisted of fecal matter on the toilet and floor and did not appear permanent, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student's 2002 Chevy Tahoe was stolen while parked in Sixth Street Parking Garage, 1201 E. Sixth St., early last week but was recovered shortly after, reports stated.

The student said he noticed his truck was missing at 10:30 p.m. April 24 and was notified at 5:28 a.m. it had been recovered by Eloy police near Picacho Peak, reports stated.

The student said he reported his truck stolen and there was no suspect information, and there was $15,000 worth of audio and video equipment in the truck, reports stated.

Eloy police said they found the Tahoe on fire on North Sunshine Avenue in Eloy and towed it to the Interstate 10 exit at Picacho Peak.

Someone cut three 3-by-1-foot holes in a fence at the 22nd Street warehouse, 1145 S. Warren Ave., sometime between April 22 and 25, reports stated.

An employee told police there was nothing missing or damaged other than the fence, reports stated.

Facilities Management was notified and will repair the fence, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A student told police someone took pictures of his car and followed him on April 25 at 3:15 p.m., reports stated.

The student told police he was driving east on East Speedway Boulevard and was approaching North Mountain Avenue when he noticed a Volvo driving behind him and taking pictures of his license plate, reports stated.

The student said he turned north onto Mountain and the man followed him, but when the student turned off Mountain the man continued going north, reports stated.

A $1,700 projector was stolen from the Harshberger building, 1133 E. North Campus Drive, sometime in April, reports stated.

An employee reported the item was missing when he did inventory on April 5 at 10:45 a.m. and the last time he was it was March 25 at 2 p.m., reports stated.

He said the projector was generally kept in a closet or left out in the meeting room, reports stated.

He told police he sent an e-mail to all department heads two weeks ago to see if anyone had it, but received no response. He decided to report it to police on April 25 at 11:15 a.m., reports stated.

There are no suspects or witnesses.
