A man found his brother's car Saturday around noon in the Second Street Garage, 1430 E. Second St., just a few hours after it had been stolen, reports stated.

When police arrived, the man told them his brother had recently reported his car stolen. The man said he had gone to look for the car and had found it in the garage.

The man's brother told police he had met a man named "Jason" the night before and had taken him home with him. The brother said the man stayed the night at his house, reports stated.

The brother said when he woke up the next morning he noticed that his wallet and his car were gone, along with "Jason."

The brother said he had called his bank to cancel his debit card and was told it had already been used.

Police called a locksmith and opened the brother's car.

The brother's wallet was in the car, but three CDs and an American Express card were missing.

The brother told police he did not know "Jason's" last name.


A woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and having a warrant early Monday morning after police pulled over the man she was with on East Second Street and North Campbell Avenue and arrested him for having two warrants.

Police first noticed the man when he did not use his turn signal. Police ran the plates on the man's Nissan Maxima and realized the man's license was suspended.

When police pulled over the man they asked him if he had his license and the man said, "Let me save you the trouble by telling you my license is suspended," reports stated.

The man then told police he also had a warrant out for his arrest.

The two passengers in the car told police they didn't have licenses. Police parked the car in a secure area, reports stated.

While in the car, police smelled marijuana. Police then found a sandwich bag full of a green leafy substance in the car.

When police asked who the marijuana belonged to, the woman said it was hers. She also told police she had a warrant out for her arrest, reports stated.

Police booked the man and the woman into Pima County Jail.

The bag of marijuana was placed into evidence, reports stated.


A student's $175 silver mountain bike was stolen sometime between Sunday night and Monday afternoon from the Pima Residence Hall, 1340 E. First St., reports stated.

The student told police he had locked his bike with a cable lock around 8 p.m. Sunday, and when he returned around 7:30 a.m. the next day, the bike was gone.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


The glass on a vending machine was broken sometime before Sunday at the Harvill building, 1103 E. Second St., reports stated.

It looked like the glass had been kicked in.

Nothing was taken from the vending machine, reports stated.


A student's green mountain bike was stolen sometime between Sunday night and Monday afternoon from the Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

When police arrived, the student told them he locked his bike with a cable lock. The student said there had been a sticker underneath the bike seat.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Someone stole a student's $40 blue backpack Monday afternoon after breaking into the student's car that was parked at 1420 E. Seventh St., reports stated.

When police arrived the student told them he had parked his car around 2 p.m. and when he returned about an hour later, he saw that the driver's side window of his car had been smashed.

The student said his work for a school project had also been taken from his car.

Nothing else was stolen from the car, and there was no other damage.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A woman's license plate was stolen Monday from the Sixth Street Garage, 1201 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

The woman told police she had parked her car around noon, and when she returned around 5 p.m. she noticed her license plate was gone.

The woman said she was sure that the license plate had been there when she parked her car.

There was nothing else taken from the car and no damage.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's $280 bike was stolen sometime between Sept. 9 and Monday from the Music building, 1017 N. Olive Rd., reports stated.

The student told police he had locked his bike with a U-lock.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
