  • Staff Advisory Council Meeting. The council works to foster and enhance communications between the classified staff and the university community. It provides a forum for discussing and defining the role of classified staff in the university and represents and advocates their concerns statewide. 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. "Swede" Johnson building.

    Holidays

  • Ramadan. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar. It is during this month that Muslims observe the Fast of Ramadan. Muslims fast throughout the entire month during the daylight hours and in the evening eat small meals and visit with friends and family.

  • Rosh Hashana began last sundown. Rosh Hashana occurs on the first and second days of Tishri. In Hebrew, Rosh Hashana literally means "head of the year" or "first of the year." Rosh Hashana is commonly known as the Jewish New Year. Dinner at Hillel Center following services.

    Entertainment

  • New Music Tuesdays. New music releases provided by Replay Music and Entertainment. Noon - 1 p.m. Student Union Memorial Center, Wilbur's Underground

  • Charles Darwin Experience. Improv comedy. 10:15 p.m. - 11:15 p.m. Student Union, Wilbur's Underground, Cellar

    Seminars

  • Workshop - "Ace the Interview." How to present yourself in the best way possible to a potential employer. 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Student Union, Career Services, Suite 411

  • "Some Variational Insights into Pattern Formation Far from Threshold, Part II," by Nicholas Ercolani, Mathematics department. Math building, Room 402

  • 2005 Fall Leadership Workshop Series - "Networking for Personal and Professional Success." 5 p.m. Student Union, Ventana Room

  • "Listening to the Voice of Youth: Zimbabwe, Jamaica and Arizona," by Dr. Sherry Betts. Arizona Health Sciences Center, DuVal Auditorium
