A student found an empty syringe early Sunday morning in the lobby of Coronado Residence Hall, 855 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student told police she found the syringe under a table around 1:30 a.m.

The syringe was turned over to police and placed into evidence to be destroyed, reports stated.


The windshield of a student's vehicle was damaged by a large rock sometime Sunday morning while it was parked in front of Gila Residence Hall, 1009 E. James E. Rogers Way, reports stated.

The student told police he returned to his residence at 1 a.m. Sunday and noticed his car was fine although he had not been driving.

When the student left his residence at 9:50 a.m., he observed a large rock lying across his vehicle's windshield, reports stated.

The rock was approximately one square foot and weighed approximately 40 pounds, reports stated.

The rock appeared to be from a landscaping rock pile near the south side entrance where the vehicle was located, reports stated.

The student told police he went to the front desk of the residence hall and inquired if someone had reported seeing anything or anyone that might be related to his damaged vehicle.

The front desk did not have any information or reports regarding the situation, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


Someone lit fireworks Sunday and threw them out of a third-story window of Kaibab Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The RA told police she had been in the south side basement office at 4:15 p.m. and heard two to three firecracker cracks. The RA said she looked outside and observed an open window and screen on the third floor.

The RA told police she heard two to three male voices coming from inside the room and saw someone close the screen from the inside.

Police were escorted to the south-facing patio, where they located two detonated "Whistling Moon Traveler" firecrackers and an empty water bottle containing several "Blackcat" fireworks that were wet and not detonated, reports stated.

Police made contact with the resident of the room. The resident said she had been out of the room for an hour, reports stated.

The resident told police the door had been open when she left and no one was present in the room.

The fireworks were disposed of by police, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's black BMX bicycle was stolen from Skyview Apartments, 1050 E. 8th St., sometime between Jan. 25 and Sunday, reports stated.

The student told police he locked his bicycle in the north side bike racks on Jan. 25 and when he returned Sunday his bicycle was gone except for the lock and front-tire.

Neither the lock nor front tire was damaged, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A student's brown leather trifold wallet was taken Jan. 27 from his room in Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. First St., reports stated.

The student told police he left his room to play basketball at 3 p.m. When he returned at 5:15 p.m. he noticed his wallet was missing.

The wallet contained his driver's license, CatCard, debit card, Social Security card, spare car key and $240, reports stated.

The student told police the door to his room had been locked when he left and his roommate was already out of the room.

The student told police he did not believe his roommate had taken his wallet.

The door to the room had not been tampered with, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A flat pushcart was found in the Olive Tunnel Sunday morning, reports stated.

Police discovered the cart at 8 a.m. and could not locate the cart's owner, reports stated.

The cart had been left in the center of the pedestrian walkway and no one was near it when it was discovered, reports stated.

The cart did not have any marks identifying the owner.

Police collected the cart and placed it into property, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
