EVENTS/LECTURES

  • Gardening workshop. The free demonstration will be given by the Pima County Cooperative Extension for one hour. The last part of the meeting uses samples of plants brought in for identification, diagnosis and treatment. 9 a.m. Extension Garden Center, 4210 N. Campbell Ave.

  • Weight Watchers. The At-Work Program for Weight Watchers. Noon. Old Engineering building, Room 301

  • Lecture. "Culturally competent public relations." Noon. Student Union Memorial Center, Gallagher Theater

  • Writing workshop. Information on how to write your professional resume, which is often the first thing an employer sees when you are applying for a job or internship. No sign-up required. 1 p.m. SUMC, Room 411

ENTERTAINMENT

  • UApresents the Romero Quartet. This family of classical Spanish guitarists has wowed audiences all over the world. 7:30 p.m. $10-$42. Centennial Hall.

  • "A Legend of Zorro." Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio Banderas star in this sequel to the classic movie. 7 p.m. $3. SUMC, Gallagher Theater

  • Poker lessons and tournament. Free lessons start at 5, tournament begins at 6. Tournament entry is $5. SUMC, Wilbur's Underground, Games Room

  • "Metamorphic Expressions: The prints and paintings of Ernesto A. Trujillo." 10 a.m. to noon. SUMC, Union Gallery

MALL EVENTS

  • Music. KAMP on the mall. Noon to 1 p.m.

  • "Vagina Monologues" advertising. Members will be distributing fliers and selling tickets, chocolates, jewelry and flowers. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Poster sale. Hosted by the University Activities Board. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
