Two men were at the Mount Graham International Observatory/Red Squirrel Refugium without permits Sept. 19, reports stated.
Police were patrolling the area when they saw a Vista Recycling Waste Management truck.
Police asked the two men inside the truck if they had permits to be at the site. The driver of the truck said he was an employee, but said he did not have his permit on him. The passenger of the truck said he was the employee's cousin.
Police told the employee that he was not authorized to bring anyone onto the site.
Police allowed the employee to drop off an empty trash dumpster and to pick up a full one, reports stated.
Police ran a records check on the employee and his cousin, reports stated. Police saw that the cousin's driver license was suspended. Police confiscated the cousin's license and shredded it.
The owner of Vista Recycling and the United States Forest Service were notified of the violation, reports stated.
Police towed a car Wednesday afternoon that was blocking the eastbound lane on East Speedway Boulevard just off of North Park Avenue, reports stated.
When police arrived, they saw that the car was stalled. The driver of the car was not around and police could not contact the registered owner.
The car was towed, reports stated.
A man was arrested for trespassing Wednesday night after police warned him for drinking in front of the Arizona/Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St. and returned an hour later to find the man still there, reports stated.
Police found the man in the dorm parking lot around 7 p.m. When police approached the man they noticed he was talking to himself, reports stated.
The man had an open 40-ounce bottle of Cobra malt liquor in a paper bag next to him.
Police asked the man for ID and he said he didn't have any, reports stated.
Police threw out the beer and told the man to leave the UA.
The man then told police he was going to buy another beer.
Police told the man that was fine as long as he didn't drink it on campus or in a public area, reports stated.
Police then warned the man if he returned to campus without a legitimate purpose he could be arrested for trespassing.
An hour later, police received a call about a man yelling profanities. The description given to police matched that of the man who had been drinking the Cobra.
Police found the man sitting in the Arizona/Sonora parking lot with another 40-ounce bottle of Cobra, reports stated.
Police arrested the man and searched him. Police found a student's CatCard and a UA Visitor Card.
When police asked the man where he had gotten the two cards, the man said he had found them in the street a couple days ago.
The man told police he couldn't remember where he had found the cards and said he hadn't turned them in because he hadn't had a chance to yet, reports stated.
The man was booked into Pima County Jail for theft and trespassing, reports stated.
A student was booked into Pima County Jail Wednesday night after refusing to sign a citation for underage drinking at the Arizona/Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
When police arrived, a residence assistant said the student appeared drunk. The RA said the student was singing and dancing at the entrance to the dorm.
The RA then pointed out the student to police.
When police asked the student to stop she kept walking, reports stated.
Police ran after the student and told her to stop again.
The student stopped and yelled, "You fuckin' cops can't just stop me, I know my rights."
Police smelled alcohol and noticed the student had watery, bloodshot eyes.
Before police could ask, the student said, "Yes, I have been drinking," reports stated.
Police noticed the student was very emotional and had mood swings.
Police cited the student for underage drinking and asked her to sign the citation.
The student refused and said she'd rather go to jail.
Police told the student she had one last chance to sign the citation. The student began yelling and told police she'd rather go to jail and to handcuff her, reports stated.
Police handcuffed the student and took her to Pima County Jail.
