Someone moved a candy vending machine sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday from a hallway into a classroom at the Bio Sciences East building, 1330 E. South Campus Drive, reports stated.
When police arrived, a UA employee told police the vending machine was last seen in the hallway around 5 p.m. Tuesday and was found in the classroom around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
There was no damage to the vending machine, reports stated. The vending machine company had been called and said it would move the vending machine back to its original location.
There were scuffmarks on the floor, which the UA employee said could be removed by buffing the floor.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A UA employee was assaulted Wednesday night after he caught two men riding their bikes down the stairs of the Manuel T. Pacheco Integrated Learning Center, 1500 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
When police arrived, the employee said he had started locking up around 9:45 when he heard a woman scream.
The employee said the woman screamed because one of the men riding down the stairs had almost hit her with his bike.
The man then turned around and rode back up the stairs, reports stated.
The employee said the other man continued down the stairs and rode into the elevator. The employee said he followed the man into the elevator and got there before the doors closed.
The employee asked the man if he was a student and he said no.
The employee told the man police were on the way and said people can't ride their bikes down the stairs.
The man then said, "No way, I ain't talking to no cops," reports stated.
The employee told police the man then pushed him twice.
The employee said the elevator then opened, and the man pushed the employee out of the way with his bike.
The man then threw the bike over his shoulder and ran up the stairs.
Police searched the area for the two men but didn't find them, reports stated.
Police served four felony warrants Tuesday to a man who was already an inmate at the Pima County Jail, 1270 W. Silverlake Road, reports stated.
While police were at the jail on other business, a jail employee told police about the warrants.
Police confirmed the warrants through dispatch before serving them to the inmate, reports stated.
Two men told police they wanted to press assault charges against each other Monday at the Michael Moore speech at the McKale center, 1721 E. McKale Drive, reports stated.
One of the men told police he was walking with his wife when a Bush supporter holding a Bush/Cheney sign held the sign in his face.
The man said the Bush supporter continued to hold the sign in his face so he pushed the sign away from himself and into the Bush supporter. The man's wife agreed that is what had happened.
The Bush supporter told police he was holding up the sign and trying to leave when the man purposely got in his way. The Bush supporter said the man then lunged at him and punched him in his right torso area.
Both the man and the Bush supporter said they would pursue the matter in civil court, reports stated.
Three students were cited for possession of marijuana early Wednesday morning after police smelled marijuana in the Coronado Residence Hall parking lot, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
The marijuana smell got stronger as police approached the students.
One of the students said the marijuana was his and they had all been smoking in his car.
When police asked one of the other students if she had anything on her, she admitted to having a water pipe in her purse.
The pipe had marijuana residue in it.
The student was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three students were then released, reports stated.
