A woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia early Wednesday morning after police pulled her over for going straight in a right turn-only lane at the corner of East Speedway Boulevard and North Euclid Avenue, reports stated.

Police asked the woman if she had been drinking and she said no. Police asked the woman if she had her license and the woman said, "I'm going home right now to get it."

While the woman was looking for her registration, police noticed a blue ashtray on the floor and asked to see it, reports stated.

The woman gave police the ashtray. Police smelled marijuana and noticed several marijuana stems and seeds in the ashtray.

Police told the woman now was the time to be honest and asked to see her black backpack. Police found a baggie of marijuana, a small container full of marijuana and rolling papers, reports stated.

When the woman was being handcuffed she blurted out, "I wasn't smoking it in the vehicle, but I knew it was in there."

The woman was cited and released to a friend, reports stated.


A male driving a black Camaro flipped off a residence assistant Tuesday night while they were both in the Sixth Street Garage, 1201 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

When police arrived, the RA said the man had pulled out in a parking space in front of her.

The RA said she had then honked so that the man wouldn't back into her.

The man then flipped her off and backed his car toward hers, stopping just before hitting her car, reports stated.

The RA said she did not want to press charges against the man, but wanted to report the incident, reports stated.


A student was put in the UA diversion program for being a minor in possession Wednesday night while police were doing a traffic stop in front of Park Student Union, 615 N. Park Ave., reports stated.

When police asked the student, who was a passenger in the car, if he had been drinking, he said he had been.

Police then asked the student where he had gotten the alcohol, and the student said he had gotten it from a man on a giant mountain bike who had been riding around the Arizona Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

The student said the man had been selling water bottles full of vodka. The student said he had bought a cup of vodka for $20.

The student was referred to the dean of students, reports stated.


A student was put in the UA diversion program for being a minor in possession Wednesday night after police noticed her trying to keep her balance in front of the Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

Police stopped the student and asked her what was in a clear plastic cup she was carrying. The student said it was water.

Police smelled alcohol and asked the student if she had been drinking, reports stated.

The student said she had been and told police she was under 21.

The student said she had been and was celebrating getting into a sorority.

The student was referred to the dean of students, reports stated.


Three students were found vomiting and appearing intoxicated Wednesday night outside of Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., reports stated.

Police arrived after an RA told them she suspected the girls had been drinking and were sick.

One of the students told police she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta and had been at a party. The girl said she had consumed jungle juice.

Another student told police she had consumed something that tasted like Kool-Aid.

All three students admitted to drinking and being under 21.

The students were referred to the dean of students, reports stated.


Two students were cited for being minors in possession Wednesday night after police saw them arguing at 1801 E. First St., reports stated.

When police arrived they heard one of the students say, "Get the fuck off my campus," to the other student.

When police asked what was going on the other student said she had been drinking.

Police smelled alcohol on both of the students' breath. Both students explained their side of the fight and one got very emotional, reports stated.

The student tried to stand up and almost fell before police caught her.

Both students were cited and released, reports stated.
