A man threw his cigarette and a trashcan at two women early Sunday morning while they were walking by the Main Library, 1510 N. University Blvd., reports stated.

When police arrived, they saw the man was sitting on a bench waiting for the bus.

One of the women said she had been talking to the other woman when the man started calling them "bitches." The man then threw his cigarette at her and grabbed her by her shirt collar.

The other woman said the man then picked up a metal garbage can and threw it at her. The woman said she had blocked the trashcan by putting her arm in front of her face.

Both women said they had seen the man before at the bus stops. They said the man was always acting crazy.

One of the women said the man did not take his medication because he always flushed it down the toilet.

Both women said they didn't know the man, but knew about his situation because they had seen him around.

The women said they did not want to press charges against the man. Police told the women to stay away from the man and to contact them if there were any further incidents, reports stated.

A student was thrown out of the football game Friday afternoon at the Arizona stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave., after he flipped off people wearing ASU shirts, reports stated.

Police were in Section 4 when they saw several people with ASU shirts walk by. The student yelled at the ASU fans and was shouting "ASU sucks."

The student then flipped the ASU fans off and kept his finger within an inch of one of the ASU fan's faces.

The student then got out of his seat and began to bump chests with one of the ASU fans.

The student was cited for disorderly conduct and asked to leave the stadium, reports stated.

A man sitting on the UA team bench at the football game Friday at the Arizona stadium was arrested for trespassing and for possession of marijuana, reports stated.

Security pointed the man out to police. The man told police he did not have a CatCard or any identification.

Police then found the man's Arizona driver's license and smelled marijuana.

Security told police the man was not a football player. The man said he was a walk-on and was injured. The UA coaching staff did not recognize the man, reports stated.

Police arrested the man for trespassing and searched him. Police found a bag of marijuana and a marijuana cigarette.

Police ran a records check on the man and discovered he had an outstanding warrant.

The marijuana was put into evidence and the man was booked into Pima County Jail, reports stated.

Several men damaged the Modern Languages building, 1423 E. University Blvd., Friday night, reports stated.

When police arrived, a UA employee told them he had been working in a room on the fifth floor when he heard noises in the hallway. The employee said he walked into the hallway and saw trash strewn down the hallway. The employee said he saw three to four men at the end of the hallway. When the employee asked what they were doing, they ran down the stairs, reports stated.

Police found trash throughout the building. The fourth floor men's bathroom was also flooded. The sinks had been left on and paper towels had been used to clog the drains.

Police searched the area but didn't find anyone that matched the descriptions given by the employee, reports stated.

A student tried to steal three sweatshirts, valued at more than $40 apiece, and a Modern Greek 201 book from the UofA Bookstore, 1209 E. University Blvd., Sunday afternoon, reports stated.

When police arrived, a bookstore employee said she had been watching the security cameras when she saw the man put the sweatshirts and the book into his bag. The employee said the man then left the store and she hadn't been able to catch up to him. The employee said the man walked by later and she confronted him about the stolen items. The man did not have the items on him and said he hadn't taken anything, reports stated.

Police watched the security video and saw the man stealing the items.

When police talked to the man, he confessed he had stolen the sweatshirts because his parents didn't give him much money and he was cold. The student said he had put the items in his car and had come back because he felt bad and was going to buy something to make up for it.

Police returned the stolen items.

The student was cited and released. He was told he could no longer return to the bookstore, reports stated.
