Likins' tuition proposal: more fees

photo

Following two years of the highest tuition hikes in UA history, President Peter Likins proposed another tuition increase in addition to mandatory and program fees at a press conference yesterday.

Last week, Congress tried to push through legislation to make it easy to remove class-action lawsuits from state to federal courts. The law's sponsors know that removal to federal courts - which are about as friendly to class action plaintiffs as Judge Judy in the morning - effectively sounds the death knell for those lawsuits. Metal, ink and flesh: the painful pleasure of tattoos and piercings.

No living human is a stranger to pain. But why do humans choose to endure pain in exchange for something as aesthetic as a tattoo or piercing?

When asked why she got so many piercings, aerospace engineering junior Brittany Neverman gave the most honest answer.

"I don't know," she said. "I think I'm addicted to piercing. It's kind of a rush." [Read article]
