Stanford's team of Lisa Jacob, Lindsay Gassner, Claudia Franco, and Jessica Tong posted a winning time of 3 minutes, 20.73 seconds. Arizona's "A" team, consisting of Shannon Hosack, Liesl Kolbisen, Casey Legler, and Ashley Tappin, finished fourth in the event.

Leading the Wildcats was sophomore sensation Laurie Kline, who finished second in the 1650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 16:31.35. Many of the Wildcats will now get set to compete at the Olympic Trials which will be held March 20-23.
