For those of you 21 and over who are transfer students or have been stricken with summer bar amnesia, here's a quick little list of bars and clubs to go to during the week and weekend.

On Monday nights, if it's disco you want, then two clubs offer a trip through a time warp to the days of Lipps, Inc. and KC and the Sunshine Band.

Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St., has disco night starting at 9 p.m. with DJ goddess Tasha Bundy.

The Rock, 136 N. Park Ave., features the disco trash band Boogie Knights.

I personally favor The Rock on Mondays over Congress since I own many disco CDs. Listening to the greatest hits of disco live is definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.

Tuesday nights, it's time to go downtown to The Outback, 296 N. Stone Ave. Maybe it's not the best club in town, but it is fun on Tuesday with 2-for-1 drinks and a $2 cover. Plus, they play "Come On Ride The Train" and the "Macarena." Definitely worth the price of admission.

If you're a big ol' '80s music fan and love Nena, Dead or Alive and the Eurythmics, then you'll love The Cage, 5851 E. Speedway Blvd. For those who love to partake of alcoholic beverages, The Cage offers many more drinks nightly at a lower price (between $2-$3) than any other club in Tucson.

Thursday night, the unofficial start of the weekend, has many musical choices for every taste.

For more '80s music, Club Congress is the place to be. Or, go to O'Malley's, 247 N. Fourth Ave., where the Boogie Knights' sister band, the M-80's, take the stage. If you're parched and need some Top 40 music, the Wildcat House, 1801 N. Stone Ave., is your watering spot. With more 2-for-1 drink specials and Top 40 music, you should be destined to have a fun time. And if you want spice to your music, go to the Bum Steer, 1910 N. Stone Ave. They play Tex-Mex, cumbias, rap and funk with a $3 cover charge.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all a potpourri of choices of many different bars and clubs to go to and have a hoot. Most of the veterans on campus have their favorite spots around the university area, so take your pick.
