By Joel Flom Arizona Daily Wildcat January 31, 1997 Gymnastics hosts four-way meetThe Arizona gymnastics team will look to bounce back from an upset at the hands of Minnesota last weekend when it faces Oregon State, Stanford and George Washington at 7:30 tonight at McKale Center.All three teams 14th-ranked UA (3-2) will face in the four-way meet will provide a challenge to Arizona's attempt to rebound from the 191.800-191.425 loss they suffered in Minneapolis. Oregon State is currently ranked 9th and Stanford is 13th. George Washington is unranked, but will provide some challenge to the GymCats in several events. Sophomore Heidi Hornbeek, who did not travel to Minnesota last weekend because of the flu, will be back in action for Arizona tonight. In 1997, Hornbeek has had the top score in four of the five events the GymCats compete in. Oregon State will pose a real threat to the Wildcats in several events. Sophomore Danae Phillips had a 9.850 on the vault against Cal and junior Amy Slack received a 9.825 on the vault. Senior Sarah Ferrari will challenge the Wildcats on the floor exercise and the bars. Stanford is coming off an upset victory against Washington last week while George Washington is coming off a home invitational which saw them place second among the five teams with a team score of 190.45.
