Wildcats place second in UCLA Invitational
The Arizona gymnastics team (6-4) finished second in a four-way meet at UCLA this weekend. The Bruins took home the title with a 194.275 score, followed by UA (192.575), Florida (190.475) and Cal-State Fullerton (187.375).
UCLA's Lena Degteva took first in the all-around with a score of 39.25, followed by teammate Kiralee Hayashi took second with a 39.175 while Arizona's Heidi Hornbeek placed third with 38.975. Hornbeek also tied for third on floor with a 9.775 while Randi Liljenquist and Kara Fry tied for third on beam with a 9.725.
Arizona returns home to face No. 7 Stanford, the defending Pacific 10 Conference champion, this Friday at McKale Center at 7:30 p.m.
