Beginning today at 9 a.m., the No. 2-ranked UA women's golf team will host the Arizona Wildcat Invitational at Randolph North Golf Course.

The tournament will include five of the nation's top 10 teams, including No. 1 Duke and defending national champion No. 11 Arizona State, and 11 of the top 15 individual golfers.

The Wildcats are coming off a third place finish at the SMU/OSU Regional Challenge Feb. 8-10. Freshman Cristina Baena led the Wildcats with a score of 228, 15-over-par, good enough for 11th place. Junior Jenna Daniels and senior Krissie Register also completed mediocre rounds, tying for the 23rd spot at 18-over-par.

Arizona's probable line-up for the Wildcat Invitational will include Daniels, Register, Baena, junior Jill Gomric and a fifth golfer that will be announced before tee-off.
